I'm utterly appalled at the treatment, or lack thereof I experienced at Innisfail hospital today.

I've had severe headache for over a week, and two events of complete paralysis , feeling of my head exploding, unable to open my right eye upon regaining some movement, vision disturbances, severe spinal pain as well as a lengthy ongoing history of neurological symptoms.

I was given an exam of coordination and strength, which was fine, as the events took place at night time.

I was told no scan as no sign of stroke and it's something they need to see for themselves.

I am a person of integrity and truth, who is incredibly honest.

I am very concerned for my safety which I expressed very clearly, to be met with a flat out refusal to investigate.
I was offered no advice, nor assistance for these very disturbing and painful symptoms, which have me extremely distressed.

I presented fluid, coherent and with respect and dignity for all members of staff I encountered.

I was shown no compassion, sent on my way with, zero assistance outside of a routine electrolytes blood screen.

Nobody should be in my shoes at anytime.

I'll be taking this matter up with the health ombudsman's office tomorrow. Literally fearing for my life right now. Well done innisfail hospital thanks for nothing.

Triage clearance time is so woefully slow. Expect to wait 3 plus hours to get a caste for a fracture.

I fractured my femur just over 14 months ago and from the time the ambulance had me at the Emergency Department, I could not fault any of the Doctor's or Nurses.
They were all very friendly and explained everything to me.
The actual Doctor showed me the scan of my fractured femur which helped me understand what was happening considering I was on a lot of pain killers.
They were terrific even when I was transferred back to them after surgery in Cairns.
Everyone at the hospital was great!

In the last week, I've meet some of the best nurses an the lady from the patch specialist is great I do not do open holes or cuts but she packed it an made sure I did not get any infection an I didn't have to go to Cairns which was my fear very good team

Been in a few times . Not overly Great , there is limited Dr's but they are good , be warned though some staff are not very nice. Nurses were very friendly though when i was admitted and assisted .

They judge people by face value. But when they finally get a dr for you you couldn't ask for a better place to be. 1 star for triage (the older skinny lady) 5 stars for Dr and nursing staff.

I cannot praise the exceptional service and care that was provided to me during my recent stay. The ED staff were very caring and went about the repairs to my arm as the true professionals that they are. The entire staff make you feel welcome and the care was second to none. If your not well you could not be in a better place. Well done ladies and gentlemen.
