I was extremely nervous and anxious about having a CT scan with contrast. Paul the radiologist was so professional and caring towards me, I can not thank him enough. The experience was very comfortable. The reception staff were also very polite and friendly.

Several weeks ago, I scheduled an ultrasound appointment well in advance. I arrived on time for the appointment, only to be informed that it had been cancelled and that the clinic had been unable to contact me.

When I asked for a new appointment, I was told that none were available in the coming weeks, despite the fact that my medical concern is urgent. I was simply sent home.

While the staff member I spoke to was friendly, this unfortunately did not help my situation in any way.

This experience was very disappointing. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience.

My first time of visiting I-MED Radiology in Cairns, I was so impressed of how kind and friendly all of staff were. They were very quick and efficient. I couldn't believe the fantastic treatment I received. I would definitely recommend I-MED ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everybody was very nice. I didnt have to wait and the lovely receptionist spent quite some time over the phone in order to get my bill solved. She was very patient and gentle.

Made a booking 3 weeks in advance, flew in for out of town for appointment just to be called the day before and told that due to sonographer assignment my appointment was no longer available. The offered appointment time didn’t suit flights. Asked if there was alternative time or location to be told no take what is on offer or next available appointment is a month away.

Luckily QLD X-Ray care enough to accommodate me last minute when I-Med left me high and dry.

So between this terrible experience, and having to be on hold for 20+ mins to speak to anyone in the first place I won’t be back

Waited over an hour for an appointment; I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed and waited a further hour after that to get my scan.

I understand sometimes appointments can be delayed for various reasons however it was the blasé attitude of reception I found most frustrating.

It was only me and maybe 3-4 other patients in the waiting room the whole time and not once was the long wait addressed. One couple walked out after about 45 minutes .

The reception girls (4) were hanging out chatting and having a good old laugh about personal (not work related) subjects in ear shot of patients while we’re all wasting our valuable time waiting to see a specialist.

I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed and had to sit there for over an hour listening to the chit chat and socialising. When I asked about the wait they didn’t even know who I was, why I was there or my name; even after I had already checked in and filled out my patient form. I was told “I don’t know how long much longer it will take, would like to book for another day”… Come on?!?!? Really

Completely unacceptable and unprofessional in my opinion.

When I finally got to see the specialist for the scan, they me of the reception girls tried to make small talk leaving in with a really relaxed “Soz for the wait”

When I went to go pay, I had to stand in front of reception for another 5 minutes or so while the girls chit chatted about god knows what before I was even acknowledged and asked to pay. Why does it take 2 people standing in front of screen to figure out how ouch to charge.
