Had GP Referral for CT scan. I hold a DVA Gold Card and was told I would be billed because they didn't have the "billing code" for DVA and because Referral was from GP they wouldn't see me. CT scan was and is required because of my heart condition which my GP is trying to investigate.
All medical conditions are covered under a DVA Gold Card, I-Med however seem to be above this rule. If and when I go into cardiac arrest I will be sure to advise the doctor (provided I'm still alive) that my GP attempted to do everything they could but I-Med refused to scan without me paying. They didn't even contact me prior to my appointment to discuss it. I wasted time from my day and shifted several other important medical appointments around to go to I-Med.
I feel as though they put me into the "too hard basket" and couldn't be bothered to do anything about it.
I will never use I-Med for any future work and am disgusted and appalled at how they have treated a veteran who served his country. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

Ct and X-ray scan no longer have to be stored in a box at home. Great service which you can access when ever you need to.
