Jan and her team have been such a valuable asset during my cancer journey. She has assisted me after my surgery, during chemo and radiation. I found her knowledge and treatments so helpful related to compression, lymph press machines and manual lymphatic drainage. Jan really cares about her patients and wants the best for them. It was a real place of peace and respite during the most difficult time. I would highly recommend this place.

I cannot recommend Jan highly enough. My surgery on a tumour in my leg has left me with a few issues such as lymphoedema and a scar . The massages on my leg and scar give such relief and it’s such a lovely space, calm and soothing. Jan’s knowledge has educated me and I realise that previous issues I have had can also be resolved.

Jan and the staff at Alchemy are very helpful and always make you feel very welcome. They run many interesting courses/workshops throughout the year that you can attend for a reasonable fee. I have personally had laser treatment and massage with Jan for shoulder pain and inflammation caused from repetitive injuries and this treatment helped in getting my pain under control. My son also has regular treatment with Jan for Lymphatic drainage on his leg and always offers great advice for him to keep on top of his condition and also does regular measurements for his compression stockings. I have no hesitation in recommending Alchemy Health....whether for treatment or one of their many courses you certainly won't regret it.....it will open your mind and body.

Totally “Amazing therapist”. I would highly recommend Jan Hunter at Alchemy Health clinic (Illawarra Lymphodema Service). Jan is a totally amazing therapist and an expert in the field of lymphodema and post breast cancer therapy.

The treatment that I received from Jan was life changing. Absolutely life changing!!
Jan is a highly experienced therapist who I received treatment from post breast cancer surgery and radiation therapy. I had restricted movement, swelling, cording, pulling, scarring and adhesions causing pain and discomfort post surgery and radiation treatment. I received treatment from Jan at Alchemy Health early which was so important to improving the healing and getting me back to a full recovery.
I felt so comfortable with Jan during treatment at a time when I felt so vulnerable and emotional. Jan through her professional expertise and assessment recognised where my body was to use several methods and modalities to cater for my needs.
Jan used integrated treatment methods including, manual lymphatic drainage, laser treatment, myofascial release and gentle range of motion techniques that where all extremely beneficial to getting me back to a full recovery.

I would like to highly recommend and state how important it is that all women and men receive this type of early treatment post breast cancer surgery or really any other form of surgery. The scarring that occurs post surgery and the early intervention is absolutely vital.
Jan you are a totally amazing therapist and person and I wish that so many others could see and experience the amazing treatment/ results that I have received from you. You are so amazing!!! I am eternally thankful and grateful to you.

The journey navigating cancer can be arduous enough. When you finally get through the treatment phase and are then left facing a diagnosis of how to manage lifelong lymphodema it can seem quite daunting. I was fortunate enough to be recommended to Jan Hunter of the Illawarra Lymphoedema Clinic recently. I cannot speak highly enough of Jan. Her professional approach coupled with her warm and empathetic nature have made me feel much better about the future ahead of me. Jan has such an extensive knowledge I feel confident I am in the right hands at last. The advice and guidance she has given me so far has been invaluable. I highly recommend this practitioner.
