Was super quick and easy, everyone super polite. Only issue is make it very very clear what suburb you want you appointment to be in because after clarifying twice I need the appointment for Gateshead they suggested Tuggerah which is too far on public transport and he still managed to booked me in at Salamander Bay even after saying yes the appointments for Gateshead and that Tuggerah was to far on a weekend let alone a weekday.

Go to the Mater Hospital for Breast Scans - it’s bulk billed there , this company want $358 for 1 scan. Not affordable at all, especially for a disability pensioner like me.

Had an appointment there today and the person that took me in was a guy called Matt. He was super helpful and friendly and made the appointment very relaxing. He explained everything in detail and made it an overall great experience.

Jess the senior sonographer was absolutely incredible. Additionally, the reception staff and all who answer the phones, everyone was more than happy to assist and I’m incredibly grateful.

I went there for a biopsy and was charged for that and then later on I get a Medicare check in the mail as my Medicare rebate so I cashed it out. Then a few months later I get a letter from hunter imaging stating I owed them $200 extra and to use the $96 Medicare check to send back to them to pay off the $200 what a bloody joke when I was not told about any extra cost needed which really pissed me off and set me back financially especially at this time of year! You need to let people know!

Did not inform me of any out of pocket costs BEFORE my consult.
I am on a pension and chronically ill and cannot afford an unexpected $189 bill!!!
Dr Regalo; Dr Regalo's admin team; my GP and the person doing the imaging all failed to tell me BEFORE I went there.
I simply cannot afford to pay that -and I shall be contacting the Health Care Complaints Commission to lodge a dispute.
THEY ARE DODGY AS!!

EDIT Review on Saturday 15th July 2023 : Mum come back here a few weeks ago to get a breast ultrasound she’s on a pension and when she signed in at the desk and gave the girl her request form the girl then look at everything and said this is a chargeable scan then mum told her she normally is bulk billed and as the girl on the reception desk was new to the job she didn’t know so she said that’s okay and stamped the request form but when mum was in having the procedure the Songrapher then come out and started talking about her to the girls and office manager and showed the girl on reception the request form telling her it should’ve been marked for payment and then she started chatting and showing the office manager in a very rude manner they said okay well will let be bulk billed only this once more and that’s it and I clearly hear them and knew who and what they were talking about so from now on we are no longer coming back to this provider for any ultrasound scans as they can’t inform their patients at the time of booking appointments that scans are not bulk billing anymore and they should not be to start charging patients for these scans especially right now the cost of living being already so high ?,

Mum had to come back for a new updated head CT scan and the staff members were all friendly and helpful as always both Receptionists and the young male student radiographer she even got in early and it was over and done with & finished in under 15 minutes she always comes here and won’t go anywhere else been coming since Broadmeadow site closed a good number of years ago ,
We highly recommend coming here to anyone especially patients who have severe allergies to contrast as they do not force you to have it and are respectful,
We will be back again sometime in the future. ? Thank you Aimee STROMEIER

Be very careful getting an MRI with these rip off artists!

I had an MRI from Hunter Imaging (Tuggerah) for a single location, yet they tried to bill me for 2 MRI’s. They scanned my nose for a problem at the rear of my head and charged me for it. They also billed me for a gallium injection for $50... which they did not advise the price of until I paid the bill.

My tip is to get a quote from PRP Diagnostic Imaging... I later found out that they can bulk bill for MRI’s... a big difference of a free MRI to Hunter Imaging’s $450!!
