This aged care facility stood out for its exceptional service, even though it may not be as pristine as some newer ones. When I toured the facility for my mum, I was genuinely impressed by the warm, homely atmosphere that perfectly suited her needs. Despite a COVID outbreak at the time, the staff ensured my safety with appropriate PPE and still allowed residents to enjoy communal areas, avoiding the isolation seen in peak COVID times. I was introduced to the clinical team and carers, who all made a positive impression. Before leaving, I spoke with another visitor who shared that they felt reassured knowing their father was in good hands and kept well-informed.

I wanted to take a moment to thank Heritage Botany and staff for their ongoing support and care they have given mum since being a resident for a year now.
I found the nursing staff and careers to be attentive to mums needs and well being and I am grateful she is in good hands.

I am very grateful to the management and all staff of Herritage Nursing Home at Botany for taking good care of my 93 year old father. I always observe that staff are caring, diligent, kind, and responding straight away to all my requests.

Heritage staff and nurses are not efficient and nurses are not caring. The afternoon staff after dinner was served did not care to respond to the bell or needs of the residents. We were on the look out for another aged care, which luckily we managed to get after 1st February. After we left there were some taxi vouchers posted to them from Transport NSW for my husband and the Secretary told me she put them in his archived file. I told her all she could do was give me a call as these vouchers were to be used not archived, to which she said " oh u got them now thanks to the phone call u made to NSW Transport". Very unreliable and unethical staff

The two stars are for some of the wonderful staff. But if you care about your loved ones, I'd look around for better options, if possible. The nursing staff are stretched to the limit and our relative almost died an horrific death as a result. Fortunately, the nursing staff did phone us and we were able to take decisive action because he panicked and did not have a clue what to do. The Royal Commission has done nothing to help residents in aged care. It's all about money, money, money and we were paying a LOT.

Amazing place if you're looking for your loved one to die. Awful service, negligent and unskilled staff, careless management. Please don't even consider this place.

It would appear that despite the recent Royal Commision into Aged Care this facility still likes the easy option of using “Chemical Restraint” to control residents behaviour rather that using diversional therapy. Or any alternatives to drugging into pacivity.
