Hello Home Doctor Service - Springfield Lakes, QLD

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Hello Home Dr last week, and will no longer recommend them to our friends or professionally to patients. We called and requested an appointment after midday as I had suspected food poisoning, it was booked in, the doctor failed to attend, then sent us a request for a telehealth appointment at 10.45pm at night. Disgusting service and no one bothered to reach out to us after we called three times to see if the Dr was still attending.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Worst service I've ever received from a doctor or service and am absolute waste of time. I called at 4pm as I was on holidays in this area and had no means of transport to emergency and I had uncontrollable vomiting and I am a single mum with 2yo twins.

They confirmed a home visit at 4.30 and again at 8.30 when I called to check on status.

At midnight the doctor called instead for telehealth and when told what the problem was said he couldn't do that over the phone and hung up.

When I called back I was told there was nothing they could do and telehealth was the only option th3y had (despite guaranteeing me the opposite for the last 8 hours and that all they could do was suggest me going to emergency.

The person who i spoke to was Jazlee and she was very blunt and told me it was not an emergency service and it was not their problem.
When asked to speak to a supervisor i spoke to Joanne and she agreed it was their fault and they had done the wrong thing but told me they weren't going to fix it and that it was not their responsibility to do so.

My poor baby was sick with a rash all over his body. The home doctor came late so he was sleeping, I showed his the spots all over his body and told him his symptoms and all he said it allergy reaction give him telfast and then left. My baby ended up in hospital with pneumonia and was really sick. Absolutely shocked at the service, never again. They don’t deserve even a 1 star.
Do not recommend this app or people at all.

Poor service, dr called me in 4.5 hrs and over the phone quickly he sent me some meds I never heard of and completely different to what I’ve been asking, nah, the boy Indian dr just rushed me to the side and hung up, what they’re paid $180 per hr here in Qld? I hope he doesn’t get paid by Medicare which I should call on Monday and complain about h this high way robbery by foreign drs who come here to make money and go back after 2 years so they don’t give a flying F about us

Completely useless. Waste of time. Provided details of sick very old person with very bad cough and with worsening weakness and sickness, and then they offered telehealth when the patient obviously needed a physical examination. This is dangerously irresponsible, and ethically dubious.

This was the worse service we have ever received from a Home service medical provider. we called for my sick mother at 4pm today. we were informed she would be either seen in person or a phone consultation would be provided within 4 hours.
2 hours later we received a message informing that no one will be visiting but the appointment would be done over the phone instead. we called a second time to confirm all the details. 4 hours later we called the company again to inform that she still wasn’t contacted. as 4 hours had passed we were then assured she would be pushed up to proritity and will receive a call soon.
6 and a half hours from the initial call at 10:30pm my mother received a call by the company’s staff still asking questions about my mothers details and where actual doctor was based at.
The Doctor STILL hadn't’ called.
To have my mother who is extremely sick to wait up to at least 10:30pm was absolutely crazy. We canceled the consultation and did not proceed with Hello Home Doctor Service.
Shame on you and your service.
I do not recommend this company to anyone. Move to the next provider instead.

I am throughly disappointed that this service gets public funding.

Firstly I called through to the hotline with my requests for a doctor to ATTEND like advertised to check my breathing from suspected pneumonia worsening, to then get a text message 5 minutes later that it will be a telephone appointment, like really can they check breathing over the phone!! It a blatant money grab of public funding.
I should have listened to the reviews and word of mouth but I was desperate to get medical attention without having to call an ambulance.

THEY WILL NOT ATTEND IS FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

Unless I guess the doctor is out getting dinner nearby it seems.

This isn’t supporting the already stressed public health system but rather a hinderence.

I’ve been going to my regular GP about my daughter now for 2 weeks and was told she had a viral infection (cold/flu) nothing they could do. I however complained about an extremely nasty barky cough she had a night that kept her awake and us awake at night. (I’ve tried giving her everything naturally) 2 weeks she had this. I rang home doctors and the doctor straight away heard my concerns and gave a script for the appropriate medicine I had been asking my normal doctor for for 2 weeks.
We had the best night sleep last night in over a fortnight. I am extremely thankful!
I can’t remember his name but he was kind, soft spoken and polite. Thank you.

As for the wait time. I was called within the 4 hour window that they promised.
