I recently visited Helensvale Medical Centre and was extremely impressed with the level of care and professionalism. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The doctor was attentive, compassionate, and took the time to listen to my concerns. I felt truly cared for and never rushed during my appointment. The clinic was clean, well-organized, and efficiently run. I highly recommend Helensvale Medical Centre to anyone looking for quality healthcare.

Takes full payment and then claims Medicare as well. Tried to claim they didn't and was a Medicare issue, I don't even think the guy I spoke to the first time even looked into it to actually check before the default response of medicare issue. Had to spend an hour on hold for Medicare to tell me they submitted it saying I hadn't paid anything and so benefit was paid directly to the practice!! As we speak they are still arguing that they have done everything correctly while I'm out of pocket and said the doctor would sort it out next time I have an appointment like wtf, just give me my money back!! Still waiting to be called back again!!!

Edit: Your response is not correct I have spoken to Medicare and you have claimed the rebate, which means I will not receive it!

Now I'm being told after another phone call from your office 6weeks and that's how long it usually takes which is absolute BS I have never had them take more then 3 days tops!! You have stuffed up and won't admit your mistake, great way of doing business. Your staff are incompetent, only take the gap and you can wait 6weeks!! Practicing Manager what a patronising piece of work!

Dr Shakeel is absolutely lovely, as was the nurse who saw me prior to my appointment. I am glad to have found a great new medical practice I feel comfortable with.
However, I must say my first impression at reception was disappointing. The person there was unfriendly and non- welcoming.

GP was amazing and the care we received was great.

The reception and front counter felt a little cold and hostile though. Some more eye contact with customers and less robotic responses would go a long way.

Overall though, happy with this experience and will be back for sure.

I had an unpleasant experience with Nurse Nayana during my visit. She appeared visibly distressed and emotional while attending to patients, which was concerning in a medical setting. Additionally, her manner of communication was loud and came across as rude, making the experience uncomfortable. Professionalism and empathy are crucial in healthcare, and I hope improvements are made to ensure a more reassuring and respectful environment for patients.

Dr Taniyaat Shakeel is the best Dr at this practice, I’ve seen them all. She is stern and to the point a lot of the time, she is not waffling around! But she genuinely listens to your concerns and more importantly she is very detailed and particular, will make sure her nurse is doing the correct thing and will actually follow up with her patients and has always given me follow up instructions! Thank you for taking care of our family Dr Tani!

I have been looking for help for 2 years going to this clinic & them not knowing me helped in ways I could only imagine, I was so frustrated trying to get help ( in Brisbane) I finally got help, I was seriously giving up, I feel like I have hope again

I switched to Dr Shamin Siddiqui
here (from Doctors at Pacific Fair) due to change of residential suburb and my mother switched to Dr Shakil Ahmad here from Doctors in Southport Park.
We found the medical centre clean & tidy with enough chairs for the booked patients to sit in without touching each other.
Visit 1:
The young receptionist 1 made a mistake of giving me a wrong page of the form to fill as she was busy chatting on her private phone.
The Hojabi receptionist apologised and provided me with the correct form page 3.
I found Dr Shamim Siddiqui quite understanding & caring 👍👍
My mother looks forward to best pain management from recommended Dr Shakeel! 🙂
Visit 2:
The receptionist 1 annoyed me today by calling me and "telling me that I missed my appointment".
Surprised, I replied: why didn't you text me?
R1 retorted:
You booked it yourself Yesterday!
I replied, You didn't listen to what I said...
She cut me short and asserted :
You booked it yourself! Dr Shamim said that you will be charged $20 for missing your appointment!
I raised my voice:
Did you hear I didn't get any msg?
R1 retorted:
You are so rude that I will end this call!🤔
I hung up and went to the medical centre to complain about her and you know what? The nurse also joined her! I let the doctor investigate and guess what? R1 said something to the nurse in a tiny voice. The nurse repeated to the doctor in a tiny voice. Both R1 & the nurse left the reception desk WITHOUT apologising to me after blaming me!! How disrespectful!
I moved to another Medical Centre. ✌️
