My mother was booked in for an appointment with dr Kalband, the neurologist at 10.40am, she was waiting patiently but once the receptionist realised she had been waiting for over 1 hour, she told her to go around the corner and wait because she would be next, but then then he came out and let people whose appointment was later than hers through. When the receptionist realised this she attempted to get my mother through (she was very kind and this review isn’t a reflection on her whatsoever) he waved her off and just ignored my mother and refused to see her. My mother suffers from very bad from mental health problems and painful headaches. I truly can’t come up with any reason he would’ve ignored her and been so extremely rude other than he probably holds prejudices and discriminates against indigenous people and I truly believe that that kind of behaviour is extremely disgusting and there is no room from racism and discrimination in todays society.
So if you’re an indigenous person I definitely would not recommend going here to see dr Kalband and you’re much better off going to any other neurologist.

So I arrive at 10.40 expected a wait as you do for a appointment people came in after me to see doctor kalban and notice that 4 people got called in with later appointments than me after I sat patiently in the reception area the receptionist Donna noticed this and said go around and sit outside his room so he can see you he came out saw me there and called a lady in with a 2 hour appointment after mine receptionist notice this and came running around to tell Dr kalban that I been waiting a very long time he just wave is hand at the receptionist to go and took the other patient in I suffer with severe anxiety and depression and being treated like I was invisible i think he is predjuce against aboriginal people so no apology about this treatment by Dr kalban has deeply distress me and I had to to my local doctor to explain what happen and give me something to calm me as I was in a severe state not far from ending my life by being treated like this by a professional I will be getting a legal advice hadn't been called in after me so if anything happens to me
