Had my gastric sleeve surgery just over 6 weeks ago and I am so glad I signed up for the support package through WMS. I have had great support from the dietitian and psychologist through the first month and a half while the nurse was outstanding with info and follow-up encouragement in the first few weeks. I live about an hour by car from their offices but everyone has been so helpful scheduling phone meetings so I don't have to drive in all the time. I am looking forward to my meetings with the hypnotherapist and exercise physiologist soon.
I have felt confident in my choices through the changes of food textures and I am feeling and looking great. Much of that confidence is from knowing I have an invested and knowledgeable team whenever I need support on my journey to better health. Thank you so much WMS.

If I had my time over I would NOT have my surgery through this business, but rather done it directly with the surgeon (as he was good) and sourced my own support team. It’s been over a year since I had my gastric sleeve surgery and my experience here was extremely poor.
The director comes across as money hungry and doesn’t do good business - she tried pushing me to lock in my surgery ASAP and even managed to double book my surgery and then wanted to schedule me a lot earlier when I hadn’t even done my pre surgery diet - and said it was okay for me to not do it in its entirety. This made me extremely uncomfortable and caused a lot of unnecessary stress.
The “support” team was also all over the place. There have been so many staff changes over the last 12 months, so it’s impossible to have the same health care professional as they keep coming and going. In my first 3-4 months post op, there was no psychologist employed by the business at all, and even though it’s promised as an inclusion in the program per the agreement signed, I had to ask numerous times to cover my out of pocket costs to see my own psychologist whilst they didn’t have one (which they reluctantly did after a lot of back and forth).
Additionally, appointments are also all over the place - sometimes they are missed, or you are randomly scheduled in without notice. Lots of last minute cancellations too.
This business caused me more stress throughout my first year post sleeve rather than providing me with support I needed - so I strongly suggest going directly through a surgeon and then sourcing your own support with individual practitioners. Don’t waste your money or stress here.

Had a gastric sleeve 1 month ago. Best decision of my life. From the procedure, hospital stay, support from the team has been top-notch. Just a phone call away with any questions and return phone calls. All staff easy to talk too. I've had a work colleague have same procedure two weeks after mine. Appointments available with ease. I had gastric sleeve process 3 weeks ago and have been extremely well taken care of by this amazing team, which is making this journey for me so much more comfortable, enjoyable and smoother than I could have ever imagined.
From the first contact the level of care and confidence they provide is second to none. Everyone no matter what their role in the team is will treat you like an extension of their team.
Clearly explaining the process and what you could and will experience puts your mind at ease that you have chosen the right team to help you on this new stage of your life.
I could write up a novel on how highly I recommend WMSA and am unbelievably thankful that I am able to have them with me on this new path that I have chosen to take

I wish I knew this place existed years before I had considered weight loss surgery! I may not have even needed it if i had found them sooner! They offer the whole package. Nutritionists/ Dieticians, Psychologist, Qualified and experienced on site Nurse with actual on the job lived experience and of course, very knowledgeable and experienced surgeons (if you decide to go down that path too)
From the moment you walk through the doors, they feel like a family. No judgement and total acceptance of my individual circumstances.
I am so grateful to have found them. You guys helped me to learn how to change my life and get long-term results from my weightloss surgery.
