Really wanted to like it, but....Ordered oysters, 1doz Kilpatrick. They were so small, when you used your fork to pull them off the shell, it shredded what little bit of meat there was.
#1, they should be detached for serving, and #2, if they're not even as big as my little finger nail, don't serve them up! Certainly don't charge full price for baby oysters that should never have been harvested. The Kilpatrick sauce was mostly tomato based, not a hint of Worcestershire. All up, pretty disappointed, to be honest. Service was good. Probably won't return, sadly.

Visited this restaurant a few times during recent holidays. The staff are super friendly and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. All the meals we sampled were delicious and plentiful with the seafood basket becoming a favourite. Beautiful outlook and if its too windy the staff will pull down the screens and even supply a heater if needed.

Stayed in the cabin over the New Years period.
Friendly hotel and bar staff.
Food was delicious.
Cabin was super clean except the aircon and fan which were dusty/dirty.
I wish the bed was more comfortable.
Laundry is available on site, washing machines and dryers were clean and decent.

It's always nice to come back to Hay Point.

Had breakfast there 1st morning after moving from interstate.
Excellent service, food and views. That was a 18 months ago ,since then pub has only gone down hill with last 2 publicans, raised prices short cuts on substandard meals. Car park was always full on weekends now barely a quarter filled. Absolutely failed, don't waste your time or money going there.

Great little motel with a pub attached. The lady at reception was very friendly, the room was really good for the price and we enjoyed a good meal at the pub, the steaks were massive!

Our room was such a great surprise. I have been in hospitality for over 35 years in housekeeping and our room was oh so very clean. Have stayed in many a motel room and this is by far the cleanest . Well done housekeeping. Was also nice to have complementary cereal n milk.
Receptionist was very friendly. The meal we had in the hotel was yummy and once again staff very friendly. Would certainly recommend Hay Point Hotel Motel.
