I’m absolutely terrified of hospitals, but have been treated with empathy and compassion. Dr Ryan Sit kept me informed of all the procedures that I would be going through. He was very patient and explained everything so that I could understand what was going on. Very impressive for an intern doctor and I know he will go far, with his friendly and humourous bedside manner.
Then came Nurse Tegan, who was the most amazing, caring and kind, but also had a wonderful sense of humour. I’m so grateful for the care that she provided and the time she took to calm my anxiety (did I mention that I despise hospital) she’s an absolute sweetheart and legend. Couldn’t ask for better staff. 10/10

I was admitted to hospital today and under the car of Dr Tom, I cannot commend him enough, the care I received from Dr Tom and the nurses was pleasant and attentive.
He took the time out to discuss why I was there and gave me reassurance which is rare today.

All the staff from the cleaners to the surgeons, with the exception of one, but she's not relevant to this review, on the Barry Collins Ward after a knee replacement recently were professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

The food was edible and the lengths they went to to supply a diet that didn't trigger my allergy was well received.

To have everyone over 5 days exceed expectations is unusual these days and they have my thanks.

Hospital Doctors and Nurses are so professional caring and have got so much empathy towards the patients and their families. Everyone is so good. My daughter 2.5 yrs was brought to emergency, she started to get the treatment straightaway. Even after we got transferred to general and then private ward the level of care treatment given to her is of highest level. Kudos for Pediatric Department

Go here out of desperation- with a lack of GPs open on weekends and evenings around this area, we have had the unpleasant experience of visiting here twice this week. The emergency staff are so rude. There is just no need to have such a poor attitude no matter how busy you think you are.
I would choose to go anywhere but here.. facilities are old and it’s just a really unpleasant experience. Very disappointing that this is the standard of healthy care in Sydney in 2024.

A great hospital! I fell off my motorbike and was taken care of with such caring nurses and doctors. Erin, Dylan and Elijah were all very professional and their passion for their job and how they care for patients was impressive. I am so thankful for their service and I am infinitely grateful to them. Thank you so much

Its 11 PM and we are Just returned from this ?hospital after waiting 3.5 hours for my sick 11 month old baby hoping to be seen by a doctor but nobody reviewed him, my baby vomited twice in emergency waiting room, just did OBS, are you really a hospital? How long it takes a baby to be examined? What a shame. Really stressed we could not wait more with my unsettled and crying baby and we returned home. Racist hospital.

My mom had a medical emergency due to a fall and injury on her face. She was rushed to HDH for immediate care. We are so grateful to the medical staff and doctor for their timely response. They attended to her with great care and encouraged her throughout as she was very nervous. A big thank you to the hospital staff !
