I can't speak highly enough about the staff at Mountainview Aged Care. My Mother needed to enter palliative care due to terminal cancer and as she was in her final stages & in a great deal of pain, she could become frustrated & upset easily. But the staff were always so caring and patient with her.

From Leo the Facility Manager who was always transparent & informative with all of my questions to Chris the Maintenance Worker who was always smiling and knew where absolutely everything was. The laundry lady who was sweet & funny and helped my Mum find clothes that were comfortable for her when everything hurt her skin and the Physio who gave my Mum 'booties' to help with her sore heels from being bed bound (she loved those!)

Even the staff bringing around the meals would gently encourage my Mum to eat, knowing that they would probably get snapped at by her because she was so nauseous and she didn't want to, but that it would be good for her. I thank you all for taking the time to try and make her last weeks as comfortable as possible.

I enjoyed chatting to the other residents while I visited and everyone was always happy there - there were always planned activities to do and there is so much thought that goes into keeping their lives as fulfilled as possible.

Thank you so much for caring for Sharyn for the short time that she was there, and for allowing me to be at ease knowing that she was safe. You set the bar very high for aged care facilities and you should all be very proud.

Every time I see the old RNs, they are so rude. They are talking to each other instead of caring for the resident. They have their own theories on how to care for the elderly. Money is all they care about. I would never choose to work in hardi care. So dirty and selfless.?

Night RN Rama is very selfish and doesn’t care about the residents. She likes talking on phone for hours rather than looking after the residents .she’s not getting paid for sleeping there. But anyway good luck.
