Used to be a wonderful facility precovid but since lifting restrictions it has become a place of concern. Receptionist who would be better suited as an army sergeant and thinks she has the right to ask personal questions when all she really needs to do is answer the phone and mind her own business.

There are some staff in there who are lovely and do their job well. There are way too many who are rude, uncaring, unprofessional and don't do their job properly. I have been approached by many staff, new and old, outside the facility with concerns about how the place is being run.

Leaving my mum laying in her own faeces until it dries on her skin on several occasions, unexplained injuries that nobody owned up to and not attending to general care needs daily as required among other things. I have photographic evidence for many unexplained injuries and the state that my mum has been left in but will not post publicly out of respect for mum. Please feel free to contact me privately though if you would like proof.

I have been forced to make several complaints to the commission to get any action or changes made because the CEO is no more than a politician who says what she thinks you need to hear in that moment and very rarely follows through.

All in all I wouldn't recommend leaving your dog in their care. Please look past the pretty decor and see what's really happening behind those doors. The bad experiences outweigh the good ten fold.

My aunt and uncle have been at Hakea Grove since May. I visit every week. The place is always clean and the staff very friendly, caring and helpful. The way they have decorated the place for Christmas and the many activities planned for the season is amazing. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for residential aged care for a loved one.

I went there to visit and old neighbour and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the place was. I was only there for a while but everyone seemed happy and the staff were all friendly and professional. I cant say what it is like from a residents point of view. I also noted that their Covid procedures were extremely good and thorough. From my experience it gets a five stars from me.

Went on a tour of this facility recently with my elderly mother. Its pleasant, clean, but location of gardens has bit too many native trees and bushes for my mother's allergies. Long delays prior to entering, due to additional tests and info required in NSW Aged Care facilities now. Allow extra 15 to 20minutes befire an appointment or visiting.

I came from Sydney a few times to visit a dear friend,who had been there for around 8months until her recent passing.
The place is very clean,spaces and the staff are so friendly especially to those that live there.
If I lived closer I would recommend Hakea Grove if or wen I couldnt be at home any more.

From the surly staff that operate the front desk to the incompetent & bitter CEO - this concrete eyesore of an 'aged care' is more akin to a cold & dreary asylum or corporal punishment facility that its name sake.

Offering residence minimal in comfort, accessibility and indeed general respect; a massive overhaul of this place & staff would be required for it to be in the same class as other long established & respected aged care facilities within the area.

The building design itself is an archaic & dull structure resembling a 'prison' or fortress. One may be wrong to assume it could be the labors of a first year architecture students crazy concept rather than a functioning institution.

CEO Joe would be better suited as a warden in a penitentiary than being left to attend to loved ones and those dear to others.

To leave your loved ones in the care of such a place would be detrimental and the wise would be advised to take their loved ones and their money elsewhere.

My mum works here and she’s one of the best Aged Care nurses I know. I hope for more workers like her. Nurses could really learn a thing or three from my mum.

Beautiful, caring staff that priorities their residents. Was a wonderful moment when some of the staff attended my Monther In Laws Funeral. Very sweet. Would highly recommend this facility and the team. Thank you
