I’ve been a Griffith uni student since 2020 so have been going to this centre for while now and have met some good health professionals that do a good job! However lately I’m not sure what’s going on with some members of the front desk staff. I have met some lovely receptionists here before but lately SOME members of the reception team have been extremely unprofessional in their duties and conduct. I was quite shocked to experience this last week when I was there to get few vaccinations and blood tests to fulfil my FFPP placement requirements as part of my degree.

The doctors and nurses are all really amazing and friendly! The only issue I had with this centre is the way online booking works for a flu immunisation. I booked with a doctor online specifically for a flu immunisation but when I went to my appointment, it turned out that I also needed to book a nurse's appointment. I think it would make more sense if booking for a flu immunisation automatically booked a doctor's and nurse's appointment for you (since you always need the doctor to write you up for the vaccine and the nurse to administer it). Otherwise, maybe make a note on the website that all immunisations and blood tests require a doctor's and nurse's appointment so people know to book for both by calling or coming in personally. If this is not possible, just remove flu immunisation from the online booking system entirely so other people's time aren't wasted.

I was going to get a certificate of blood test. I double check the time with the staff, which was 10:15. However, when I got there, I was noticed my appointment time was 11:15. I told them I have something to do at 11:30 and I only needed to get my certificate. I have been waiting for 1 hour and I didn’t even get a apology. How rude?

If you care about you health you WILL NOT go to this medical centre. The GPs are couldn’t haven a given a toss about our medical concerns, they have not properly investigated nor addressed them each time we’ve been. It’s a disgrace considering they’re attached to a uni known for it’s medical school and research. Will never go back!

Sadly, I have to echo similar comments. What's the point of making an appointment to be kept waiting for more an hour?
