Horrible experience.
Called first thing in the morning to make an appointment, was told walk ins till 12pm and appointments in the afternoon. Walked in the place about 30mins later, was asked for my Medicare card on arrival and told to sit down in the waiting room with one other person there. 5mins later the other person goes in, 5 more mins and the receptionist finally talks to me to check my details, then realising I'd never been to the practice. At least 10mins of waiting just to establish I was a new patient and then I get told there is an $80 "cash" fee for first visits. Seems dodgy straight away and who carries cash, so I had to leave to get cash and come back. Major inconvenience, especially when there were at least two prior opportunities to tell me this, without wasting my time waiting for nothing. I go get cash, come back and fill out the new patient form, then the real wait starts. Empty waiting room, no one with the doctor and I easily would have sat there 20mins+ before getting seen. Doctor calls me in, office directly off reception and front desk, it's a small space, he doesn't close the door. It's a doctors office with no privacy!? He asks me what's wrong, I describe my symptoms and ask for a prescription, barely asks me any further questions, comes over to me and places a stethoscope on my back, on top of my shirt, and listens for maybe 3 seconds, 5 at a stretch. Goes back, writes me a script and then asks me if I'm "happy" as he hands it to me. What exactly I have to be happy about that this point I am not sure, but shocked is a better description. I would have been in his office maybe 60-90 seconds, I was completely blown away by the whole experience and left dumbfounded as I walked out. Sure this guy is eccentric, the green suit is one thing, but absolutely zero care or consideration came from this person, who I struggle to call a doctor, it was complete disdain shown the whole time and no actual doctoring to be seen. I would hate to be in serious medical trouble and see this person, nothing would get diagnosed. Time to retire I think.
Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere, this place is not worth your trouble.
UPDATE after reading the colourful reply, clearly written by the doctor. Reading over this and other reviews it is pretty easy to see he makes a habit of posting unprofessional and petty responses. Maybe if he put a little more effort into his practice and less energy into his social media presence he might not get so many negative reviews.
As stated in my original review, I was not informed about an initial consultation fee on the phone or on arrival at the practice. If I was already told why wouldn't I bring cash or then sit around for 10mins+ until I was told!? Clearly this guy enjoys lying to himself and justifies everything in his own head.
It took 45mins+ in a virtually empty practice, including time to go get cash out. Not sure about this fast turn around time that brings you so much pride, it was not the speedy process you pretend.
My opinion is false about patient confidentiality, yet my in person experience is there was no privacy, may as well have spoken in reception. Right.
Contactless consultation!? Dr didn't even know what was wrong with me and now claim they offered this? Kidding yourself. Contactless consultations must describe 99% of his day.
And plotting my review while waiting is my favourite part of the response! lol
I didn't request specific medication, I requested support from a doctor. I don't prescribe to myself, I seek the advice of a medical professional. Well, with the exception of today.
Nobody asked the doctor to cure anyone in 90 seconds, what ridiculousness. You've lost the plot. 90 seconds is how long it took to rush me through once I finally got in his office. Classic.
Judging by the responses I and others have received, this doctor makes a sport of running people down who dare speak out about his poor conduct and deflecting blame. Not a great look from a member of the community with such "high standards".
The level of narcissism is staggering.
