Unfortunately this practice has been going downhill for some time now. All of the permanent GP’s have their books closed. GP Registrars (Doctors who are in training to become a GP) rotate on a 6 monthly basis, which means nil continuity of care plus a new GP Registrar every 6 months. Add to this, certain admin staff who think they are clinical staff and seem to “know better” than patients (some of us whom work in health ourselves), it makes you question why no one wants to work here. Why is staff recruitment and retention such an issue here? Probably because you can feel the toxicity as soon as you walk in the door.

I had been a patient for 10+ yrs at this practice. When the regular GP i saw left instead of me being able to see another Dr in the same practice, which I would do when my Dr was away, I was sent a letter stating I was no longer a patient there and had to find a new practice to go to. This caused me alot of distress.

Dr Knight is just amazing. She has supported myself and my daughter with our mental and psychical health. She always gone above and beyond for the both of us. She is always really though explains things in simple language and is always willing to work with her patients. I can't thank her enough for what's she has done for our family!

Called up in regard to mental health issues and the lady on the phone I believe her name was Barbra, was extremely rude and not helpful at all. The way she spoke was rude, inconsiderate and blunt. She offered not advice or support nor did she inform me of all the needed information in one phone call therefor I had two phone calls were she presented herself the same way without knowing it was the same customer meanly I presented myself in a positive way both times and gave her no reason to act that way especially from the very start of the conversation. I am an understanding person but this was just plain rude and I truely believe she shouldn’t have a job like that when that is her personality as she had no compassion at all.

I do not recomment Dr Ronald jones, very dismissive and fobs his patients off when he has no idea or clue as to what is wrong with them. He puts it all down to anxiety or prescribing anti depressants if your having long covid symptoms, He claims there is no evidence of Long covid, so I guess we are all making it up then, and what about the long covid clinics being set up, sunshine? I guess they are all delusional as to the existence of long covid, I suggest you go get educated on the matter instead of fobbing off your patients. I aLso tried to change and see another doctor, only for her to refer me back to the very doctor i did not want to see, Dr jones. Umm i do believe i have a right to second opinions and to see any doctor i wish to, very unprofessional of this young doctor who refered me back to Dr Jones.
So my husband and i let our feet do the talking.

edit.. not interested in talking to your team, my husband and i are quite happy with our new doctor at another medical centre. If i thought something would actually be done about the matter then i would take the time to communicate with you, but i doubt this would be the case, the truth is the moment Dr griffith left, he was a wonderful doctor, the place went down hill.

Wasn't sure about my experience today. My son went in for his immunization shots with my older son in tow. I never had a negative experience in the past, but today was strange. After the shot, the nurse asked us to hang around for about 5 min then we could go. Well my kids were excited to sit for awhile in front of the lobby television to watch cartoons and it took a bit longer to get them out the door. I felt like during the maybe 20 min we were there, we were encouraged to leave by the doctor and nurse about 3 times. I did get the hint and did leave as soon as I could drag my kids away. I wasn't planning on staying all day as I had to get back to work, but I felt it was totally unnecessary to push you out the door when it wasn't even busy. My kids were quietly minding their own business not bothering anybody. It's just really strange customer service. I suppose that is normal in the public system.

I cannot rate the young doctor Jessica Cusumano highly enough. Though I was only a short term patient, and bulk billed, she was thorough, careful and gave me referrals for the tests I needed, checked the results and referred me to the appropriate physiotherapist and surgeon. We should all be so lucky to come across a doctor like her when in a town in which we do not live.
