Newborn/ antenatal/ post-natal review.
I have been visiting Grand Medical Centre for about a year, and my experience has been exceptional. My Dr was recommended to me by another doctor at the centre, and I’ve been seeing her throughout my preconception journey, during antenatal shared care, and now as a 2nd time mum.

Now that my baby is nearly three weeks old, I can confidently say that I have never encountered any issues with the Doctor or the centre itself. They are consistently punctual and organized, which has made my visits stress-free compared to other medical centres I’ve been to.

I am especially grateful for the Dr’s caring approach to both my well-being and my baby’s health. She has conducted thorough checks and has always made me feel supported. I highly recommend Grand Medical Centre and Dr. Volga for anyone seeking quality care.

Have nothing but praise for the doctors and admin staff at Grand Medical Centre. There are always courteous and polite. The appearance of the surgery is always neat, clean and tidy which is a good thing when you are entering a doctors surgery. Would highly recommend the practice.

Lovely staff and Manager. Had to attend today for a test for work. The all staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The nurse was caring and doctor was super helpful and informative, just genuinely very welcoming and friendly all round. Waiting rooms were extremely clean and well kept.

Not newborn/family friendly. Brought my 11 days old newborn for routine check up, waited for 40mins hence newborn was getting stressed. Got in there and got told by 2 ppl we should have brought our own diapers (yes ok we understand but we have literally just changed diaper before we went to the doctor and it would have been fine if we were seen on time as we were just few mins away). We were told about diaper issue while the baby was getting stressed and crying her lungs out. No sympathy. Quick check by doctor, not sure how detailed it was. Didnt get to ask the questions i wanted to ask as everything was getting out of control with practice manager coming in and told us we had to throw the diaper outside the clinic. Which was fine but we were also trying to attend the baby as first time parent (couldnt someone wear some gloves and offer to throw it out?). At the end of the consult because baby hasnt registered to medicare the practice manager insisted we had to pay but we called up before and was told we didnt have to pay as long as we tell them the Medicare number once we've got it. We had to drive the baby back home first and returned their call to pay as baby has already been so stressed for the pass hour. No sympathy, the practice manager demanded to pay now even though we said we would come back and pay in the afternoon. So much drama for a routine check up. Cancelled my appointment and not going there again with my newborn. We paid ~$122 for a stressful experience over the phone as they demanded to pay NOW while I was trying to comfort my newborn . Not They have my medicare, address and contact details-why are they demanding to pay NoW instead of waiting till this afternoon where we could go back and pay in person?money hungry. Such a stressful visit, I wouldn't recommend ppl with newborns or young ones to go there.

I have been going to Grand Medical Centre for last 12+ yrs and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is also the added bonus in that there is a QML Pathology inside this practice and their staff are also very helpful.

The doctors themselves are good from what I’ve experienced but communication from reception is lacking. Booked a long consult online for my sons vaccines, they rang me and asked me to come in an hour earlier only for me to be told they don’t have time to do his vaccines because it was booked as a short appointment somehow. On a separate occasion I had the nurse refuse to vaccinate my 17 week old son because she claimed he wasn’t 4 months old, despite me counting on the calendar from his birth date and proving he was over 4 months old. She didn’t want to do them because it wasn’t the 28th of August (he was born 28th April) but thats not how months work….? Just a very frustrating practice at times but not the worst.

Wonderful practice, staff and doctors willing to help and listen. I have yet to have any issues personally. Definitely will visit this practice again.
