Just wanted to say the Medical Receptionist Sam is not only professional but very pleasant to deal with. She always greet us by name and has a smile on her face during interactions. She is delightful and an asset to the clinic. Well done Sam.

I tried to make an appointment at Grace Med Centre, Bateau Bay over the phone and called many, many times, no answer, so made appointment online. On the day, I waited an hour and still had not seen a Doctor. Why make so many appointments when they can't be kept and people have to wait and wait, what's our time worth?
In the end, I politely left and will go somewhere else next time. In this day and age admin needs to better manage appointments, and please don't reply to my review with a lame justification for making people wait unnecessarily when better admin skills would see people wait 20min max.

Sweet Merriment

I saw Dr Kahloon at Grace Medical and to say the experience was unsatisfactory would be an understatement. Firstly I had been waiting in the waiting room with many other patients for close to 45 minutes past my appointment time before I was seen.
During the appointment Dr Kahloon seemed to be staring into space, smirking and being distant from the appointment. She did not listen to any of my concerns and began telling me that I was at a concerning weight and my blood pressure was very high (my blood pressure has never been high and the RN confirmed my blood pressure was “textbook perfect). Dr Kahloon then handed me a referral to see a dietitian however the patient details on the referral were not mine and this also contained this patients entire medical history. After I told the Dr that this was the incorrect patient she laughed and scribbled off the medical history and handed it back to me. I explained that all of the patient details on the form were incorrect and asked if she was looking at the right patient file. She checked and confirmed that this whole appointment she had been looking at the wrong file. She continued to tell me I needed to see a dietitian and had me sit with the RN onsite for an assessment. Thankfully the RN was so lovely and she reassured me that my blood pressure was totally fine and that although my weight was slightly above average, there was no major cause for concerns. I left this appointment more confused then when I arrived and ended up seeing a second doctor at a different practice.

I've been going here for years, and have never had a problem. I find the low reviews I see here disingenuous and rude. I have made multiple bookings on the phone over the years, the staff are always friendly and the doctors are always helpful and knowledgeable.

Such an irresponsible management and reception . I had been double charged for a single appointment, 1st for Online booking and 2nd at reception . I had requested them to credit back the balance amount after original consultation fee . Sent required proofs with screenshot of bank transaction and copy of receipt.
Followed up multiple time over the email and phone , No action at all ......
Not recommended.................

I've seen different GPs at Grace Medical over the years, and have always been bulk billed. Reception are efficient despite the wait times caused by being one of few bulk billing practices availible in the area. Even with wait times, I've been able to get assistance in diagnosing issues and getting them treated, and rescheduling with doctors when I can't come in has also been so simple and easy, although the phone line also unfortunately has some wait time issues.
Although I can understand why people may leave bad reviews for places like this, I'm just glad my issues are getting treated by professionals without having to fear burning a hole through my wallet, and that affordability makes it so worth the wait to me.

1/Been on automated phone hold for 2hrs 17min - I Kid U Not !
Automated greeting message is absurdly smashed out of the stadium LONG and then no one answers, only to go on saying we fear abusive calls and calls would be terminated. I really think its time to build a new Medical Center extension out back in the empty space and join it by corridor to this one. The need is there to continue improving. Please see local Political member to get it done. The staff are great but the load is far greater.

Are you experiencing the same non professional response from this waste of space advertised so called a Medical Center?
Does this practice practice duty of care?
Not being able to get through on the phone for patient information or urgent matter for referral is not acceptable.
Is there a doctor in the house that is specialist in an area urgently needed now - you would never know, when you continually get line busy or call ended on the phone screen when dialing 0243326000.
Pull your finger out and employ a new group of professional doctors and specialists that know how to inform the patient on their condition and what actually is torn following a ex-ray instead of just saying take pain killers, then having the nerve to say is there anything else i can help you with?WHAT ?
Are we here to fill their pockets or they are on pills?

Made an online appointment for 9.20am for my son and saw that has to be telehealth if he has cough and cold symptoms. I got the email confirmation that the appointment was made and then waited. By 12 when no one had called I tried to call the practice only to be on hold for 20 mins with still no answer. I then tried to click on the appointment to change it. It was a no reply email and the appointment said it was in the past..... someone finally called me at 1pm to tell me that as he has not been there for more than 12 months he has to have a face to face appointment and to do that I need to provide a negative covid test which of course I would need to purchase. Annoyed that it tool them 5 hours to give me this information and then I am being asked to jump through hoops as I need to get my son to a doctor.
