I had a procedure performed at Gosford Hospital on the 18 November.
From the moment I walked into the Hospital I was greeted by a wonderful gentleman volunteer who steered me in the right direction.
I was admitted by absolutely lovely nursing staff. Taken to a bed and made extremely comfortable. I was taken for my procedure where I met all the people involved, from the nurses, Anaesthetist Penny,Radiologist Ken, and around four other medical staff who were extremely compassionate, caring. I went into Theatre and had excellent treatment. All the staff knew exactly what they were doing. The next thing I remember was waking up in recovery.
I cannot really put into words the Compassionate way everyone involved treated me. Thank you all so much, you are all a credit to the Hospital and extremely dedicated to your respective professions.
Once again many thanks to all involved in my care.

My dad went in because of a dog attack and they were good to start off with but them had to wait 3 days for surgery after it being pushed back twice and when he finally went in they gave up his bed to someone else and was told whilst in recovery that they would have him back to a room in 30 minutes. He waiting 5 hours whilst grieving the loss of his dog which was his best friend. I visited him everyday and every time I went in he was in distress I had to ask multiple times for nurses to get him things and don’t get me wrong some of them were lovely but he was locked out of the ward multiple times and as he is being released today he called me to say that they have kicked him out because they needed his bed and mind you it is 36 degrees today. The social workers are helpless.

I have been to Gosford Hospital a few times now and found the
experience to be better than what
I expected. From initial consultations then to admissions then on to surgery, the care and
respect shown by all staff members was excellent, the doctors and nurses were very
professional and caring.
The new buildings are state of the art in modern design, very clean and hygienic with modern equipment. There is modern artworks throughout the buildings
and the outdoor settings are superbly constructed.
I look ahead for my next admission
to the great Gosford Hospital.

My experience at Gosford Hospital was very pleasant up to a certain point. I want to thank the doctor, surgeons, the epidural doctor and nurses who helped delivered my baby girl when I had a c section and couldn’t believe how supportive and caring they were during the whole time. I do however wanted to point out a certain nurse that was not helpful and quite frankly made me feel like a burden to her when I asked for help. On her shift, I never felt so helpless and alone. I even asked her to move my cot on my good side just so I didn’t have to bother her for the rest of the evening. I didn’t get her name but she was elderly, wore glasses and has 38 years experience which made me wonder how she could let someone who’s just had a c section, be left alone and had to struggle and being in pain. Overall the other nurses on the maternity ward were super amazing and I’m super grateful for them.

I have stayed here for three days. In Gosford hospital.K4 staff were very friendly and helpful, I was cared for by nurses James, Michelle and Jade.

Jade showed up every time to check my IV, changed all my linen and made me feel comfortable. Her attention to sick people was really nice.

I really appreciate all the care I received and your help, thank you so much.

Really nice and the new extensions built looks really state of the art. Nice flow from older buildings to new extensions. Parking on streets are mostly 4h free. Also undercover paid parking inside. Restricted Staff only Parking (car park G) in Holden Street even has charging stations for electric vehicles.

There are coffee shops and cafeteria inside. The University of NSW blocks are walking distance right across the road from hospital for all new nursing students.

There is a Safe Haven in Holden street. A Safe Haven is a place you can go if you’re feeling distressed or having suicidal thoughts. It is a safe place where you can talk openly about how you are feeling and what you’re going through. A place where you can feel supported and not judged.

Gosford High School ? is right across the hospital and so is Gosford Golf ⛳️ Club!

I recently spent 6 days post operation in G5 ward at Gosford Hospital .
I can not speak highly enough of the nursing staff on my ward. The level of care, Compassion and patience that was given is something that I have never experienced before. I can not thank the team of nurses on G5 enough for making my stay as pain free as possible. These nurses are a special breed of people.
Thanks again

My brother passed away there today in ICU. The nurses hugged me and offered every support. Over the past couple of days, they were extremely caring of him and offered support to me. I especially want to mention Dr Randika Fernando.
