New member, signed up for 3 months.
So where to start!
No sign up goodies
No induction
No show around the gym
Was told there’s a steam room.
On getting my swipe card I walked in and showed myself around.
The steam room is gross, stinks and mould.
The showers need a deep clean, and no privacy.
Now to the machines, very outdated, all the weight machines that I have used the weight amount stickers are none existent, let’s just guess here.
The rowing machines are very old and lack resistance.
I can’t even try another Goodlife Health Club as my $390 isn’t enough!
No app to sign in, swipe card, not even a lanyard for it.
$390 3 months, very expensive for a lot off disappointment.
I think the only thing that appeals to me is the neat spin class room, but theta probably costs lots more? Was never told about any thing in the gym.

Coming from Anytime Fitness, Goodlife Health Club Marion is a 1 out of 10.
The 2 Gyms have totally different approaches to customer service and experience.

Equipment is good. Staff are friendly.
The steam room is disgusting. Definitely needs to be cleaned more regularly or better. It's outdated and set on a stupid timer turns off randomly. It stinks, the benches have the screws sticking out and are uneven.

Showers are good but again needs to be cleaned more regularly. There's stuff in there for days before getting binned.
Unless you need a 24hr gym go somewhere else, I did and it was a good decision.

Great instructors that motivate you to push yourself to improve, they all have great energy, knowledge and enthusiasm. The front staff are always welcoming and it feels like a connective community and great atmosphere as soon as you walk through those doors. I really enjoy every class I participate in and have surpassed my goals so a big thumbs up from me

Staff are friendly, the gym has a good selection of equipment. Honestly no complaints as a gym. I signed up for a one week trial but decided not to stay with goodlife due a benefit my partner receives with her employment. I called before the week ended to cancel, they were good about it, pointed out there benefits but ultimately agreed to cancel. I was passing the gym and went in to confirm cancellation and was told they could see my call but no cancellation had been enacted I asked again for it to be cancelled and then I find my account being charged. I'll have to follow up more now, enjoying waste of time and money all for a "free" one week trial.

Had a horrible interaction with a horrible staff memeber, she said she'll cancel my membership. I said fine, no worries, kept getting debit notifications, then a call by a personal trainer asking when I want my session. Told him the story and he said he'd get back to me, crickets. Then I called and another guy said he'll get back to me, crickets.

Eventually went back in and sorted my membership out, paid 1 month in advance and still no access, and still debit notifications, called up. And the kid couldn't help, surprise surprise.

Then called up again and still no access after hours.

The things I want to say about this company won't allow my review to be posted but let me assure you this company is as useless as they get. Can't wait for the person to respond with "I'm sorry please call this phone number".

I was given a warm welcome with the sales representative just telling about the goodness and I told her am happy just for a trial within few months but she ended up me in a contract of 12 months for me to quit I have to pay why was all this information not told that it is a contract for 12 months. I don’t blame the gym or the reception work on your sales person.

me and my husband have a very bad experience with this gym. we joined gym with very high hopes but firstly they charge us $45 each along with joining fee, when we asked them why you charge us extra $45 each ( 45x2 =$90). they said u will get a PT session for that which we neve4r get and so many times we talk to reception about this but they always says will talk to manager and will let u know, now its been 3 months already there is no update from them. on the top we lost your card and updated new card within a day- for that also they charge us extra saying that we charge you for card declining- like really - we joined because of the goodwill of this gym. but i guess - the don't want to maintain a good relations with their clients - they are just making money by charging like these- i am so disappointed - will never ever joi this gym again and recommend to others as well- THINK TWICE BEFORE JOINING AS THEY CHARGE PEOPLE UNNECERSSRILY AND WILL NEVER REVERT OR UPDATE YOU BACK AS WELL WHEN YOU ASK THEM ABOUT IT OR TELL THEM TO RESOLVE IT

when I went on vacation and told them to block my account because I was going on vacation for 2 months and not going to the gym, they replied and told me they would block my account. after that I still see my account being deducted every week, sometimes deducted x2 times in 1 week and deducted an unreasonable amount of money and I have no idea where it comes from. I am on vacation in vietnam so I cant find a way to contact them and they don't check to solve the problem for me. I feel like I was scammed when using the service here.
