I've had very frustrating experiences with Dr. Theja Gooneskera. Every time I see her, she brings up birth control even though it has nothing to do with the actual reason I came in. I’ve made it clear that I’m not interested and don’t find it necessary for my health concerns, but she continues to pressure me and even writes up scripts for birth control despite me saying I don’t want it.
It feels like my preferences and personal decisions aren’t being respected at all. Instead of focusing on the issues I actually booked the appointment for, the conversation constantly gets redirected to birth control.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at Good Health Medical Center, and I feel compelled to share my feedback to warn others. Last week, I booked an appointment through the HealthEngine app, which clearly stated that the clinic offers bulk billing. As a patient, I rely on accurate information when choosing a healthcare provider, so I trusted this detail and proceeded with the booking.

However, when I arrived at the clinic today, 10 minutes early for my appointment, I was informed by the receptionist that first-time patients are required to pay an $80 fee. I was taken aback and politely asked why this wasn’t mentioned on HealthEngine, where it explicitly stated "bulk bill." The receptionist responded dismissively, saying, "It’s on our website," and offered to cancel my appointment on the spot if I wasn’t willing to pay. Her tone was rude and unprofessional, leaving me feeling unwelcome and frustrated.

This experience was incredibly misleading and unprofessional. If there are specific fees for first-time patients, this information should be clearly communicated on all platforms, including HealthEngine, to avoid confusion and inconvenience. Additionally, the receptionist’s attitude was unacceptable. Healthcare providers should prioritize patient care and communication, but I felt like I was treated as an inconvenience rather than a patient.

I hope Good Health Medical Center takes this feedback seriously and improves its transparency and customer service. For now, I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone seeking reliable and patient focused care.

I’m shocked at my experience.

Went to one doctor and she seemed to be pushy, gave me some scans to do and when I asked about what type they were it was as if I wasn’t allowed to ask any questions. So I thought ok I’ll try another doctor, same clinic, the doc called my name and I smiled and said hi that’s me, he just looks at me and walks off to the reception, leaving me standing out the door of his office. Then he comes back and asks me “ok you did you scan now what do u need to do next ?” I was thinking ok, “first cold reception from him then he’s asking me what scan or blood test I need to do next as if I’m the doctor “

Just felt like a number, and unhelped

I have been seeing Dr Lin for 10 plus years now, she is an amazing Dr. And the receptionist Mary she’s one of a kind always put a smile on my face. God bless

Do not go here.
Was looking to go to my old gp for some flu medication, as I had not visited the centre in more than 1yr apparently I would have to pay $80 for a consultation. Massive amount to be charging.
Even then your appointment will be limited to only one topic and no more than 5mins but just know you will have ample time to prepare as expect to wait 30mins+ even If you come in early

Just very incompetent doctors who rush you thru the appoinment as they have heaps of other patients waiting. Just today, again, I was told that I was not in the list after I completed my appoinment thru their website. The receptionist (second time I am seeing her behind the desk, btw) was being an absolute nasty and grumpy person about not really explaining that the system has double booked patients again. Why is this person being their receptionist if she does not want to treat people well? Think about that for a second. She is the image of the practice and with this atitude is not a good start.
On previous visits, Dr. Muhammed was very kind and quite good but since he left Theja seems to not in caring at all about listening. Just last year I told her about my dermatitis problem and I have been using this steroid cream for about 8+ years. She instead recommended me another one because, according to her, my cream was not suitable. Guess what happened? as soon as I started her prescripted one, it felt as if someone was burning a torch on my face.
Because of this and many other instances where I have encountered unpleasant visits since I moved here from 2021, I will not be going to this GP anymore. Done

Staff at this Clinic seem to take the view that because it's a Bulk Billing practice, it gives them the right to be rude and disrespectful to patients. After booking for a vaccination, I was rung to say I would have to come another time that suited the Clinic, not me. I went elsewhere.

The only good thing about this place since Dr Hussain left is the receptionist despite what other people say ive never had a problem with front desk. Dr Goonesekera is useless to put it nicely. Went for a script and she went off topic and ended up termanting appointment.
