AVOID OR TAKE CARE. Unfortunately, our group of athletes and team staff had a very negative experience here. We are sharing this information so others can avoid this.

Our team members had to move lodges twice during our 4 night stay - the first time after an uncomfortable night because air conditioners in 3 rooms were not working. The second time on our penultimate day at short notice because of a conflicting booking, which we had not been informed about earlier. These shifts significantly disrupted our athletes' recovery schedule during an important tournament.

In addition, one athlete with dietary restrictions was presented meals counter to her requirements 3 times, despite clear information provided to the kitchen in advance.

We were given different information from different staff throughout our stay. When we informed management about the issues, the response was delayed and defensive, with an inaccurate account of events provided in rebuttal.

I would suggest avoiding this accommodation if your athletes need a stress-free and comfortable environment to focus on their training or performance. Also be careful with the food if there are dietary restrictions. If you do stay here, get any commitments in writing.

This facility could be great, but management need to take better care and responsibility for the quality of service provided.

We stayed at the GCPC for our NZ Aussie tour. We bought 2x girls Netball teams and 1x boys football team and had the best experience. Everything, from the staff, the food, the facilities, the workshop sessions, were first class. Our highlights were the Speed session on the track with Murray Goodwin, the athlete meals made daily by Matt and the amazing staff who were always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you GCPC. We will be singing your praises for a long time to come

Tried this gym for a week but ultimately did not sign up because front desk staff were genuinely awful. The old lady especially had something against me and everyone. Really made the gym not feel like a welcoming space. One guy I mentioned her to called her a harpy lol

We went here for a school camp the staff were very friendly and helpful and nice! The food was very disappointing! The facilities were excellent but it needs some upgrades including a lick of paint. Very popular with locals! Cool spending time with the footballers!

They never clean the spa it’s full of dirt on the bottom with even old toenails and scum around the edges with dirty black scum in the grout and green scum on support rail to enter it and the water is always green. The sauna is set way to high and always stinks

Best gym I've been too - knowledgeable instructors, excellent class timetable (lots of variety in classes and times), friendly reception staff, and the creche is great. Highly recommend.

Went on a school camp to QLD and we stayed here for 4 nights and it had very simple and comfortable lodges, I had no issues at all

We had a 5th birthday party at Kids Zone inside Runaway Bay Performance Centre on the weekend, it's such a stress free experience, a great air conditioned private venue.
The host is awesome and makes sure things run smoothly and on time.
Highly recommended!
