This medical centre is wonderful. The receptionists are friendly and very helpful. Nurses are lovely. Over the years, I have used four doctors at the centre and they were all very professional, giving me excellent advice and support. I have lived in Gisborne for about 20 years and have tried other the town’s other medical clinics, Gisborne Medical Centre is the one I have chosen as it gives me the best experience.

Incredibly kind, professional and efficient people throughout my whole experience of reception, GP, and pathology. It meant the world to me that they helped me, as a person who didn't know the area, who had come down quite sick very quickly. They were so personable, and I felt very safe with their care, and in their care.

Booking was easy and quick, no long wait for appointment.
Excellent care from Doctor/Specialist -approachable & easy to talk to, explained everything & questions were welcomed,
But the hero’s are def the ladies at reception, they are all wonderful!! They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, always happy to help….these ladies are truly awesome. I am so happy & relieved to have found a medical centre that I feel totally comfortable in.

Have been coming to this clinic since moving to the area almost 10 years ago and even though I have had some negative experiences with certain doctors I don’t take this as a reflection of the clinic as a whole. I have found doctors/nurses etc. that I like and doctors/nurses etc. that I don’t like and I just see the doctors that I like when I need an appointment for myself or the family. Always try to be accommodating in an emergency or at the last minute and are apologetic if they can’t help. Of doctors are running late it’s, for the most part it’s understandable as I have had appointments run over times as well because the doctors don’t just kick you out of you need a bit longer with them.

I have had good experiences since the time the medical centre opened I shifted to other regions and still kept coming there , though I did have a bad experience once, on the 20th March this year with Dr.Nora and I never ever would want to see her , she was mean ! She never looked at my medical history and she would not sign for me for a land line and she crossed all my medical info, making it sound that I don’t need the phone I am isolated where I am and I have bad oasteo poroses waiting for a hip replacement can barely walk and she crossed it all , like saying there is no reason for me to have the phone , and she would not sign it until she questioned some others . I would never recommend her infact I would tell others never to see her. ! Every one else had always been great compassionate and lovely and most helpful. Never would I want to see dr. Nora the Irish woman .

When your not feeling well you need to know the wait will not be long.
From the friendly reception staff to the nurses, Drs and all allied health workers your sure to be listened to and taken care of.
I highly recommend Gisborne Medical centre.
