Gillespies at Artarmon has been a professionally-run hire company for many many years. I hired equipment for my mother from them 10 years ago and found them to have a great range and good advice. A few weeks ago, I broke my foot and was admitted to hospital. Initial advice from a Physio was to get a particular walker. I contacted Gillespies/Aidacare at Artarmon and after advice from Chris, I ordered a walker as well as a shower chair.
My husband collected these items, but I was later told the walker was not necessary. Gillespies was helpful, understanding and very quick to provide a refund for the item. All contact with Gillespies' staff was caring, helpful and professional. We are fortunate to have this calibre of company available when specialised assistance to hire or buy mobility or lifestyle aids is needed. Thank you

Walked in there today with my 83yo mother & the assistant behind the counter was too busy playing a computer game & listening to the radio. Went straight to ILS & spent our money there.

Helen and Kieran could not be lovelier, more thoughtful, more thorough, or more kind. I arrived today in a bit of a state with an injured child and a dog in tow, and we were so very, very well looked after. I hope we never have to come back for anything (meant in the nicest possible way), but if we do have medical supply needs, they will forever be my first point of call.

Went to the old location and saw a note that they moved on Nov 28 to 6/3 Lanceley place. Drove to new spot over near Artarmon Bunnings. Great covered parking in the back of the parking area. Amazing service too. Went in looking for a high back chair and another item and the gentleman there was able to help me with renting the items. So glad I found the new location!!!!

LOOSE SCREWS ON NEW ASPIRE CRUTCHES!! I hate to give Gillespies a 2 star rating because they have been so good over the years (a true 5 star rating business), and I definitely recommend them and would use them again. BUT 2 brand new pairs of ASPIRE crutches I bought from them in the last few months have had screws come out of the hand grips!!. So I'm warning people as I don't want anybody to break their necks. Please CHECK THE SCREWS ARE TIGHT. Luckily, I noticed the hand grip was on an angle before I put my weight on them. I bought a new pair which Gillespies promptly delivered in a sealed plastic bag. The same thing happened!. It appears to be a problem at the factory(?) where they are made. I called Gillespies, asking the manager to call me back and explaining an important issue they have. (But I didn't hear back). Every other time that I have used them over the years, they have been a 5 star rating business. I'm sure they still are in every other respect.

My oldest Daughter hired a wheelchair for my middle Daughter. Such an easy, friendly process. She was able to order it over the phone and her Father picked it up on his way home. Thanks for such great service.
