Easily the BEST dim sum in the country and outstanding coffee! Menu items are always fresh & incredibly well priced. But yeah, where else can you buy 2 FAT dim sum with chilli sauce & soy plus a strong latte coffee for $10! Get there!

My experience at Gateway Medical Centre was extremely disappointing. The communication by both reception and the doctor were poor, the GP showed no sensitivity or guidance whatsoever, and after a long wait, there was no follow-up at all. Reading other reviews confirmed I wasn’t alone - there’s a clear pattern of clinical detachment and impersonal care at this doctor's office. Sadly, it reflects what’s becoming too common in today’s healthcare system, which is a focus on efficiency over empathy, where patients feel like numbers in a rotating door. This clinic is a prime example of that shift. After 25 years, I won’t be returning and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone seeking good medical advice, thoughtful or compassionate care.

Waited for more than an hour when the wait time was supposed to be 30 minutes. I was put in a side room because I had flue symptoms and when the doctor finally came he said he would call me on the telephone, closed the door and left. When he eventually called he was very rude and said I would have to pay $80 since I hadn't been there for two years, He never once asked me what was wrong with me, just ranted on about me paying for the visit and wanted to know if I had been to a different surgery in the past two years. I gave up and left because I had gone there because I was ill so not looking for an argument - which is what I think the doctor wanted!

We have found both the reception staff and doctors very professional and helpful.
We would particularly like to commend the care and attention provided by Dr. Patapis.
She is thorough and resourceful and even contacted me for a phone consultation at 9:30pm!

For the past six years, I have been a regular patient at the Gateway Medical Centre. Regrettably, the notable deterioration in the quality of services over the last two years has compelled me to seek an alternative practice. It is quite disheartening to arrive at the practice around 10:00 am only to be informed that they are no longer accepting patients for the day, reportedly because there was only one doctor available. Unfortunately, this has not been an isolated incident. More troubling, however, are the errors made by the doctors. I have received prescriptions with incorrect dosages for my regular medications. Additionally, I require comprehensive blood tests annually for my cardiology evaluations. On two occasions in the past three years, the tests conducted were incomplete, specifically regarding detailed cholesterol levels, despite my explicit requests for the necessary tests. In my opinion, this situation stems from the management of the medical centre failing to ensure adequate staffing levels.

Horrible experience every time I come. It was a 2 hour wait so I put my name down and they said call in an hour to see what number I’m in the Que. I was number 3 so headed over and still had to wait 2 HOURS? They said they had to let the people from the morning infront of me? Doesn’t make sense and very misleading

I was told 1 hour wait time. Took 3 hours to see a doctor. The doctors are all prioritising private patients and so you may have one doctor doing any bulk bill. The practice should tell patients of this information so they can make an informed decision about waiting times/or paying.

Wait times have definitely blown out at Gateway in the past 2 years. Nonetheless given the strain on our medical system I ain't complaining. Karen on reception was very helpful to me today. Also the Dr Papas redid my script after i made a mistake, left and came back. Thank you Dr Papas.
