I have been a participant in a fatty liver disease research study for the last year. I started the study with Stage 2 Liver Disease with 60% liver fat. I recently concluded the study I was in and have to say, the results were nothing short of remarkable. My most recent liver biospy showed that I was now in Stage 0 Liver Disease. I traveled 150 miles round trip monthly to participate in this study. The results make it all worth it. Plus the companies participating in these studies pay you to participate. So I received travel money and I also received money anytime I had to have a procedure done. In this study it was about a half dozen MRIs and two liver biopsies. Easy peasy! So don't put this off if you think or you know you are suffering from Liver Disease. Dr. Sheikh and his research crew became a second family to me.
