It is egregious the experiences of some reviewers, and i would hope that, out of respect for these details, anyone considering this care center would think carefully. My own experience was also poor, but as it was a second opinion situation, I don't feel as damaged. But I do think it justified to share to expose the farcical atmosphere of this organization.
I wasn't greeted at check-in, was dutifully patient, finally someone condescended to assist. I noticed a sign at the desk telling the public to stay fragrance-free. The second-hand smoke residue emanating from a staff member behind the desk was so strong that it was bending around the corners and down the aisles. This I noticed as I waited to be called. 30 minutes passed, and no call. At 45, I checked the desk and was told to ask at another desk where no one was in attendance. At one hour, that person showed and told me I hadn't been checked in. Funny because the check-in person kept my id info so long, and sought me out in the waiting area to return it. I had the vibe she had been was messing with me from the start. They reached out to the doc to see if she would squeeze me in. Great, nothing better for optimal review of medical situation, right? Doc did see me, appointment was rushed, she scolded me for not approaching front desk earlier about not being called. Al final, I did not feel well cared for and would even doubt any review of my health based on this behavior.
Fred Hutch CC, spare me your c.y.a. response to this. Not interested. You need to be investigated. Wishing your staff the same level of care you've provided.

Horrible place where doctors scare your loved ones into taking treatments with 0% chance of success. Oh but 100% chance the cancer center will profit half a million before killing your loved one. Do your own research and look at other options, these doctors are the worst. All they want is to tell you lies to agree to treatments that have no chance at working. I pray you read this and go to Mexico for actual treatments that work. US doctors are hamstringed by the AMA and anything that works is banned ?

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!
It sent us a more than $7000 bill for a one time blood test! There is no cost estimate provided before that $7000 blood test. The provider did not inform my wife of what are the lab tests would be conducted before ordering them. No details or itemized names of the lab tests were given. Additionally, we suspect there may have been some unnecessary or irrelevant tests performed.

I'm absolutely in shock with how this nurse, or nurse consultant treated me. I had called against the will of my mother. And needed more information for myself. My mom wasn't seen here and from my knowledge wasn't referred. But when I called breaking apart, not knowing what to do. This, what I assume is a young nurse. Broke everything down, gave me ideas, just, helped with what I could give her. She suggest ideas to help my mom maybe convince getting treatment. Rather then dragging her to a clinic. Which I did joke about. I wish I caught her name but we sat for about 25 minutes talking and I can't tell you how precious that 25 minutes was. The concern, the passion, the gentleness of the situation. She just handled it and suggested ways to help my mom that. Again I'm in shock. I want to say thank you to the clinic for having her as a staff. And I want to thank the lady from the bottom of my heart. If we were in the same state. I'd drag my mom to this location. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

We are trying to get access to a special test and drug for my parent who is unable to receive these in Canada. We are on a tight timeline and it’s been more than 3 weeks waiting for the information we desperately need. We thought this wood be a much faster process given the size and reputation this cancer center has. Unfortunately, this has not been the case.

Update: We got the test which we are grateful for. However, communication and wait times are poor. They also owe us a refund which we have not yet seen and given the runaround through email. Really disappointing service for international patients who are paying for everything out of pocket. I do not recommend their services offered.

I was excited to get a second opinion on my diagnosis. I was given 6 months to 20 years to live ( what?) here’s where the problem is. After such a strange diagnosis I got a bill. Never one time was my insurance billed, They had all of my insurance information. But they did nothing I contacted them and asked they use my insurance. They didn’t. Then I asked about low income paperwork. Never sent. My bill was sent to collections where they tried to charge me for a day I wasn’t there. I live 2 hours away I had 1 appointment they tried to charge me for 2. Beware they will not follow income procedures or billing

Experience with the STAFF has been AMAZING! Took 2 stars away for parking and VALET drivers are speeding like crazy out of this parking lot as I’m sitting here writing this review! This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this happened and I refuse to use Valet because of this reason. If you are using valet, be careful. Other than that, fred hutch staff has been awesome!

My daughters boyfriend is supposedly getting treatment through this place. He had to find out his diagnosis online. It wasn't even told to him in person.
They do treatments and explain nothing. They haven't explained anything about what they are doing even when asked about it.
They haven't even offered any sort of counseling to help them deal with what is happening.
I thought this place would be a lot more compassionate then it is.
The boyfriend doesn't have any money and I believe that is a huge factor in how they are being treated. Very frustrating.
