I booked a skin check with Dr Samantha Hoey as I read it was one of her specialties. It was the least thorough skin check I've ever had - a quick glance over my arms and legs and told me my skin type is considered 'low risk'. She also misdiagnosed a skin condition and prescribed me the incorrect cream.

Practice Manager provided no resolution in my disputing of this treatment.

Very disappointing.

Thank you so much to the wonderful receptionists, nurses and Dr Kamail whom were wonderful during an unexpected visit for us yesterday. The team were very caring and attentive and could not have been more helpful. They do a great job at South Street. ?

I saw Dr Stephen Wong on Friday 11.10.2024 with my mother, who has advanced Alzheimers. As usual he was punctual to the minute, warm and welcoming. He spoke directly to my mother, including and respecting her. I had to leave her with him to get a document from my car. Normally I could never do this, but when I returned I heard her laughter through the door. He was chatting amiably with her. He authorized her UTI test, gave advice and wrote a letter to the registered nurses at Kularoo Aged Care Centre Scribbley Gum dementia ward, urging immediate action on the test. He did all this within 15 minutes. This letter enabled me to get the test done the same day. After 4 hours persuading and encouraging their nurses to agree on who would change the catheter and carry out the test, I was able to get it to Laverty in time. Thank you Dr Wong, and FTMC for consistently providing high quality medical professionals who truly care.

I have been seeing Dr Stephen Wong, and he is outstanding. He is always punctual to the minute, highly efficient, helpful and kind. He is extremely patient, and I can be very annoying. He repeatedly revised my travel health summary and prescriptions, calmly adding details that I'd thought of after he had just printed and signed 2 copies or as I was walking out the door. No other doctor would have done that without expressing frustration. He suggested tests I hadn't thought of. He's very easy to get along with. I used to be afraid of seeing new doctors, worrying if they'd help me or how they'd respond to my often high levels of agitation when worried. Now I feel trusting and confident when seeing him. He's one of the most available doctors left in Forster Tuncurry and I am very grateful I've found him. Thank you FTMC for providing a highly competent doctor.

I don't think I've ever waited less than an hour and a half in the waiting room. Every time, over an hour after my appointment time, even when you call ahead to see if the doctor is running on schedule. It's a problem they don't really care to address though, just the way they run.

It’s such a shame how long we have to wait for a booked appointment. Each appointment we have to wait at least an hour or more. What’s a point of an appointment

It has never changed since we’ve used this clinic which is more than 3 years now.. as a health professionals, we can understand if it’s few minutes to half an hour late due to some priorities, but waiting this long is ridiculous, mainly for kids appointment.

Hope the management will review this & do just fairness to the clients/patients.

I realise that I'm wasting my time with this review but here goes anyway. I have lived in the area since 1987 and have been a customer of Forster medical practice for that entire time. Like all businesses, they have their flaws. However, the new receptionist at the Palms is rude, unfriendly and belligerent. I honestly don't know why anyone would hire this woman. It's as if she were forced to smile, her face would break. You can do better!
