A beautiful place to jog in the morning alongside the cool breeze. There are fishermen with boats on the river getting their meals for the day. There are some people casually sitting by the river enjoying the day on the benches. Restaurant are along the river so you can have fresh food when you are hungry. Sun rise is a delight on a good day if you can wake up at 5.

A lifetime ago i remember drawing and writing in the Fitzroy River during Geography!!! So pleased to stand on the Fitzroy Crossing and imagine the enormity of this river system and how it effects not just Queensland but other States. To see this in full flood would be eye opening when you see the height of the river banks

The Fitzroy River Board walk is amazing and a great place to take a walk along. There a couple restaurants and plenty of seating to enjoy your outing. Also with clean amenities for your convenience

Great place the fresh water side is a great place for a relax or a ski or just a pleasure boat up the river. The saltwater side is a fishing mecha, barra, threadies and jacks all on offer. If your lucky you'll see the river dolphins playing or a big salty croc sun baking

Good overnight free camp off the highway No road noise. Bit dusty underfoot but it's free.
