Figtree early parenting centre, my goodness what an incredibly experience. My only regret is not doing with my first Bub.
My 7week old Bub and I just completed the program, and what a difference it has made. Breastfeeding was becoming unsustainable due to constant snacking, and naps were only in my arms (whilst trying to look after my toddler) and it was all getting a bit much. Five nights later Bub is going 3hrs between feeds, and napping in a cot allowing me to be more present for my toddler. The program allowed me to take time out and just focus on learning all my Bubs cues and his little personality away from the chaos of everyday life.
The nurses are fabulous, they have all gone through their own motherhood journeys, and their compassion and empathy is outstanding. Not a single burnt out nurse there, all delivering amazing care to you and your Bub. Facilities are super comfortable and clean, giant rooms and the showers are nice and hot with good water pressure too! They supply a Charlie chair or collapsible bath for your Bub, all linens provided. Food is really great, and constant snacks available especially for that breastfeeding hunger. Amazing little play room for crawlers and walkers, short walk to a horses paddock to relax on the greenery. Great cafe on site that does very good coffee too.
The program starts on a Monday for all, so it’s really great going through the trenches with the other parents throughout the week.
Will absolutely be going back as needed when things get a little too tough, we all deserve as much help as we can get in these early years and individualised care and care planning is 10/10.

I had an excellent experience with the rehab program here. Rehab folks were great and operate like a well oiled machine. Both doctors and health care providers made for an overall great experience.

It is no exaggeration to say the early parenting centre at this place changed our lives. We went from contact napping for all of our day naps, to my daughter having all of them in her cot and learning to settle/re-settle herself to sleep (without being cruel and letting her cry it out). Big shout out to Karen, Lynda-Jean, Susan and Belinda who are SO good at what they do. Their support has been second to none and Iliana and I are forever grateful.
If you have a difficult baby or just need the extra support around feeding/sleep & settling, I would not hesitate to book yourself in.

We had a wonderful experience at the Early Parenting Centre at Figtree Private late last year. Special shoutout to the fantastic Mel who was outstandingly caring, supportive and knowledgeable - the support here changed our daughter's sleep habits and therefore changed our lives (no joke!). The gentle responsive settling technique they teach here is really effective and was the only thing resembling 'sleep training' that I would consider doing - so glad we did it. The rooms are spacious and nice quality, food is great. The only negatives were that we found the overnight staff were generally less interested in following the care plan set by the day staff, and seemed keener to just encourage you to feed rather than resettle which wasn't the plan and the 'easy option' rather than working on the technique used in the day. We also found that some of the staff were much perhaps a bit more 'old school' and seemed less knowledgeable on the responsive settling technique, and so the quality of help you received during each settle could really vary unless you got the nurses we found best at the technique.

I have been visiting a patient who is not allowed to walk on her own yet ,going to toilet buzzing 2-3 times no one attended so she had to go on her own.
The meals have been coming cold no one to help medication late I could go on . I understand staffing is minimal but it doesn't hurt for the staff to be nice to the patients .I was told it wasn't a nice place now I'm seeing it myself If you cant be pleasant to the patients maybe your in the wrong profession

Oops forgot to review your hospital ,I spent 2 weeks at your facility in January 2019, wonderful staff nursing and rehab. The meals were appetising and a great variety.
I had a lovely spacious room with a nice view and it was always cleaned to a high standard.

Just spent two weeks in Figtree Private in its new mode as rehab facility. The rooms are large and spacious. The nursing staff were friendly and wonderful. Worked with a great rehab team who helped me recover and taught me everything I needed to know about the changes to my body post hip replacement and prepared me for going home with safety. Rehab was done in a class which helped make friends with others and we encouraged each other. The cleaning and catering staff worked hard ensuring everything was spotless and the meals were great. Finally a great view over green fields added to the quiet comfortable atmosphere - a calming that helped me heal.
