I gave birth here a month ago and I had two of the most amazing midwives - Jess and Sophia. They worked so well together and helped me deliver my daughter with ease. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with midwives thanks to those two beautiful girls. The birthing unit midwives were also so kind and sweet.

I recently spent time here in emergency with a loved one.
The hospital was built in the 1980s, and I don't think it has had many, if any, upgrades over the past almost 40 years.
The staff are overworked and underpaid and give their patients the best of care.

Nurses are great but admin and processes and communication for end of life care and any physiotherapy is the most slow and inhumane experience we've ever been through. Our family member was referred for surgery and they lost the referral letter somehow? How do you even lose referral letters from specialists? So surgery that was urgently required was pushed back by over a year of us chasing them up them and the specialist. This means the person who needed the surgery was out of a job and unable to get any help for over a year.
Then one of our terminally ill family members was placed in a noisy ward with a screaming patient. Imagine your last days on earth being in pain and spent with people screaming and yelling around you? Absolutely disgusting.
Cafe food is also price gouging for this area and clearly privately owned so whoever owns it knows they're taking advantage of relatives of sick people. Greedy operations and I hope they go to hell for it.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in my entire life.
To keep it short and simple I was given a drip treatment after a serious case of stomach virus
The doctor that gave me the drip treatment firstly gave me a machine that was almost out of battery and ran out 1/4 way through the session.
Then when I asked the reception For someone to assist me to change the battery, no one came for two hours when I kept asking.
Then when the doctor finally came out to help when I waved him down, He said he doesn’t know how to change the battery Then walked away and said get someone to help and never got anyone and I waited for another hour.
I’ve had absolutely terrible experiences at this hospital. This place is an absolute circus.

I had a surgery appointment today at Fairfield Hospital Sydney / hands clinic at 12:30 and I was there around 12:00.
The nurse did all the paperwork to be prepared for the surgery.
I have waited there from 12:15 until the 05:00 pm.
At 05:00 pm one of the nurses asked me if I got a call because she thought they cancelled my surgery and I said no.
She left me to double-check and find out what was going on.
She came back to me with a big sorry ( sorry your operation has been cancelled )
In the end, they told me the doctor was running out of time. I have to wait for a call for another appointment.
I have waited 10 days to get the appointment.
The doctor said my finger was really badly broken.
Now I have to wait again for another call?
If the doctor and his team run out of the time
What about the patient's time, family, life, work, responsibility etc?
Is that fair?
Is it ok?
Is it ok wasting a day waiting nervously with nothing?

My dad was informed he needed to come in to get stitches after a head injury after an accident and was feeling cold and dizzy and we were told to stay seated BUT no one came to give us any update on the process and didn’t get a CT scan until 6 hours of waiting. Discussed with other patients and some were seated for 11 HOURS without being informed on waiting time or process. Horrible service.. no communication. The lack of concern or urgency is unbelievable.

I had an incredibly distressing experience at the emergency unit today. Patients in severe pain, some crying out for help, were forced to wait for over 6 hours without any medical assistance. It was heartbreaking to see vulnerable individuals being neglected. The nurses and doctors showed no concern, walking past without acknowledging the suffering of those in need. Even worse, the administrative staff at the front desk were chatting and laughing, completely indifferent to the dire situation.
This level of neglect is unacceptable and poses a serious threat to public health. The government urgently needs to intervene and enforce accountability in this facility. Hospitals should be a place of care and compassion, but today I witnessed a complete failure of the system. People's lives depend on timely medical care, and no one should be subjected to such inhumane treatment.

Honestly if I could give 0 starts I would because this is the WORST hospital.
I had taken my 11 month old to emergency as he was severely dehydrated and when we were getting seen by the triage nurse all I could hear is the receptionists laughing and swearing amongst themselves.
When we were finally seen by a Dr, she was willing to send my son home even though he hadn’t done a wee for 12 hours which is not normal and it wasn’t until I spoke up that they finally decided to speak to a paediatric dr about my son?
They then decided to put a cannula in to give fluids as he was dehydrated and failed to put it in 3 TIMES!! And when I refused to allow them to try for the 4th time the dr started giving me attitude and saying it wasn’t her fault and it was my 11 MONTH OLD sons fault for moving? Mind you they have no level of care when it comes to cross contamination as they were ready to prod my son with the same needle multiple times and it wasn’t until I said something that they then laughed and got a new needle.
Honestly save yourself the headache and go to literally any other hospital because I’m not even sure how half of these drs got their licence but they definitely shouldn’t be working
