I chose Jo Distefano as couple therapist because of great feedbacks she got here on Google. After intensive couple program we did with my partner with Jo I would like to give her 6 stars instead of five. She is great. Her service, approach and connection was wonderful and so helpful for us. Jo helped us to understand ourselves and each other. To understand why we behave as we behave. Her facilitation was case-sensitive and professional. Thank you Jo for doing your job so excellently. You helped us so much.

As a bloke, I was worried that I would not be understood when we first started counselling.
Jo has an amazing way of making you feel heard, and then being able to translate that to your partner in a way they can hear it. I'm also not so good at emotional stuff. She has helped me to face it and to deal with the trauma in my life, stuff I had hidden deep. I now continue my therapy with a psychologist, and I'm becoming a better person. In a time of feeling incredibly disconnected from my partner, I jumped online and found Jo - reading the google reviews was a huge encouragement in booking in with her so of course I feel compelled to add our experience to the mix here!

The weekend intensive really appealed to me because I felt hopeful we would be able to take the time to tackle our issues head on and get deep rather than the stop start of shorter sessions over a longer period of time. It appealed to my partner because he liked the idea of getting it over and done with in one week 😉

Although we were nervous going in - we both felt at ease immediately thanks to Jo’s kind and welcoming nature. The format of the intensive did exactly as we hoped and much much much more - the private sessions gave each of us the space to explore our individual backgrounds in a way neither of us ever had before, while the joint sessions were instrumental in helping us see things with compassion and understanding for each other. This meant we were able to address the root of our issues.

We left our weekend feeling closer than ever - having learnt more about ourselves as individuals and each other on a deep level. Jo provided us with some very simple (but extremely effective) tools which means we are now able to communicate with ease - both expressing ourselves and listen actively! We both feel seen, understood, loved, and excited for the future of our relationship. Cannot recommend Jo highly enough!!

My husband and I participated in the 2 day intensive counselling with Jo and i have come here to highly recommend it.
Jo showed incredible insight and analysis into our behaviours and was able to frame it very clearly for both of us in a way that we could both understand.
I have come away from the intensive session feeling clear headed and equipped with the skills and knowledge of what needs to happen from here on.
At all times Jo was diplomatic and called both of us out equally on unproductive behaviour.
The space was comfortable and I left feeling very warm.
I am really happy we chose to do the 2 day intensive because we were able to dive really deep without interruption.
