Hello Kristi and all wonderful staff at Estia. Thank you so much for your care and kindness during my three weeks stay with you. Above and beyond, always smiling, professional and caring, nothing was too much trouble, and the food was fabulous. The activities and surrounding gardens were great and l looooved how the sheep statues were moved around the grounds. Also special thanks for the many cups of tea my favourite tipple. Honestly I don’t have enough words to do justice to the praise and thanks you deserve.

I visited an old friend who unfortunately has ended up here, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the place is. Nothing like nursing homes I have been to in the past. Nice well laid out private room with an ensuite and lovely friendly staff who seem to have a genuine interest in the people living there. The staff we met seemed almost like good friends or caring family members rather than the usual prison guard attitude I have seen in other places.

My grandfather was here for 3 months. In the past 6 weeks we haven’t been able to see him due to severe illness in our household and then he got covid. He was then transferred to a new permanent residence last Monday. The new home was in shock and couldn’t believe my grandfather was not in palliative care. Not one time did estia call our family to advise my grandfather was declining nor did they arrange care by a Doctor. His teeth had things growing off them, severe infection in his mouth, extremely long finger nails. He had been totally neglected. They then told the new home he was eating and was mobile . Both of which he was not capable of doing and they knew this. I’m disgusted in this home. My grandfather died on Friday. In pain and suffering

I have been greatly impressed with the professionalism, empathy and skill that all of the staff have displayed. They are very busy but genuinely keen to help residents and families through a difficult time. I would sum them up by saying they have the right balance between a sensitive and knowledgable approach.

UPDATE

I’ve sent multiple emails regarding our major concerns with Estia health tea gardens with no reply other than an email to call you. I would like my email responded to asap. If you continue to choose to ignore my emails we will be taking our complaints further by going to the commission
