I saw Helena over the period of 7 months before moving from Perth. In this time Helena created a safe and engaging space for me to explore my history and blockages with clarity. It was insightful to explore the movement based practices, this was the most impactful in terms of complimenting my introspections. I felt overall I was satisfied with the outcome of my experience when evaluating what I was seeking to gain out of therapy when I engaged Helena. I was recently at a 10 day Vippasana meditation course and heard S.N. Goenka say something along the lines of any therapy that works with sensations is helping on the path to liberation. I came to Richard after experiencing panic attacks for the first time in my life. I had never considered myself anxious, so I couldn’t understand why it was happening—I thought I was “fine.” Fortunately, Richard specialises in somatic work and was able to teach me tools to calm and regulate my nervous system.
Over the next 2+ years, my life was turbulent.
