I have always found the team at Ellen Health extremely supportive and helpful. The reception staff are fantastic and the Doctors I have seen here are the best. Dr Penny and Dr Sandy are stand outs . Always time to listen and you never feel hurried. Thank you.

6 months wasted at this practice as my chronic condition worsened. Forgotten referrals, scripts and promises, gaps in knowledge, not referring me for a repeat exam a specialist had requested and finally deciding to treat a secondary problem as if it were the main one. When I dared to say I felt unsupported and needed dr Gia to have my back, because my mental health was so low due to being virtually housebound, she decided not to bulk bill me as she had done every other appointment, due to my very low income. Which says alot about her ego and integrity. Finally after once again forgetting one of the 2 referrals discussed at my last appointment I complained to the practice manager with an exact timeline of each incident I received no accountability responsibility or apology just a 2 line email from my Dr saying I was not welcome in her office or indeed the practice. Obviously at that point I had all ready changed to another Dr. Once again her ego thinking I would bother going back if she had not stated it. If it hadn't had such a serious and detrimental outcome for me I would find it all a joke, but she took me from low mental health to not wanting to exist and could not have cared less.

I had an appt with Dr McDonald at 4.30pm this afternoon. I was early, that was ok I was happy to wait as this was my very first experience at Ellen Health. I noticed that Dr McDonald didn't have any patients from I would say 4pm to 4.30pm. That's fine, I was happy to wait. 4.30pm came. No call for my name. I then noticed Dr McDonald leave her room and go somewhere in the practice. That's ok, she may have needed to do something. I waited. Around 4.40pm I noticed Dr McDonald coming back to the room with another person, I presumed it was another Dr, they were talking about the festivities and how 'full' they were. Ok, nice chitchat. Then these 2 Dr's proceeded to enter Dr McDonald's rooms and close the door. I waited, waited. I went to reception at 4.50pm to ask what's happening. They did not know. The Dr opened her door and the receptionist went in to explain that I had been waiing a while, I suppose, I really do not know what was said. Anyway, Dr McDonald said my name and I went in. I was quite annoyed at this stage, because if it was me being 20 min late I would more than likely have to forfeit my appt or have a rushed appt. Anyway, I was called in, Dr McDonald did not apologise for the delay instead she said "thanks for waiting". Sorry Dr but my time is just as important as yours, with that comment and the fact I would have been charge around $170 for this privilege, I decided to walk out. I made another appt, but sorry Ellen Health it just was not good enough.

Really disappointed with my experience at Ellen Health. I am a new patient, so I came in for the initial consultation as well as a pre-screening with a doctor. I did not choose this doctor, when I first called to make my appointment and described what I wanted they told me she was the one to see. The doctor was very informative and helpful. However when I called to make my next appointment, I was told the doctor I saw didn't provide that service. Which is confusing because it was the receptionist that placed me with her. I was told I need to come in again and pay again for a pre-screening with another doctor and there was nothing they could do. I was told it was only $40 with Medicare (which I don't have) so its not that big of a deal. I will not be returning to waste any more time or money.

I am very happy with the services that Ellen Health offers:
I always got a quick response from my GP, always got an appointment when it suited me, and the staff was always friendly and helpful...and God knows that they can sometimes be under pressure during these weird times!
