Dr Scott Jenkins has been a major support in my mental health and mental illness support. Helping me get back on top of the world, giving me a positive response to life. It will be sad to see him retire from his profession. It would be great to find a Doctor that bulk bills and does a great supporting service like Dr Scott Jenkins 👍 Thanks for your support and help Dr Scott Jenkins

While Dr Jenkins is kind, and has probably been a great Doctor in the past, he has 100% lost the plot and is horrendously overdue for retirement.

My experience has never been fantastic, rushed appointments, forgetting to call me, diagnosing me but not telling me, 0 correspondence sent to my GP leading to issues obtaining my medication etc etc. I have since been on the look for a new psychiatrist and discovered a medication Dr Jenkins prescribed me 6 months ago is not safe for long term use… that’s news to me!

And Emily (his daughter) is absolutely no better. Someone who works in Administration is usually taking calls, keeping accurate records etc… but it takes 2+ weeks to get a hold of someone over the phone, you’re often given incorrect information and when you ask for your records, Emily asks you what medication you’re taking and sends that to your GP as if that’s something that isn’t in my file. I could’ve told her I was prescribed meth and she probably would’ve put it on my record.

People with mental health conditions should not have to suffer further because Dr Jenkins cannot admit he is too old to do his job properly.

Been waiting 2 months for a appointment with no contact back needing medication for my work and been unable to get any as he has not called to even book a appointment and can’t call the drs office quite annoying

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Review update: he seems kind (might just be an act), but he's completely lost his marbles. He's been mismanaging my meds, he has blatant disregard for my mental health and personal wellbeing, he doesn't seem to understand mental disorders properly, he refuses to give me a diagnosis despite saying I qualify for a few, he doesn't answer a lot of my genuine questions, doesn't care if I go off my medication, sent me to a psych ward where I was preyed upon by someone 4x my age, is essentially completely unreachable via phone, refuses to write scripts if you don't ask for them in the appointment so if you forget due to memory issues you won't have meds for a month, and honestly I'm not sure if his incompetence is due to old age or because he's grown resentful of his patients. You're better off getting a better psychiatrist from Brisbane via video link, honestly. That's what I'm going to do. It's been over 4 years and he hasn't given me a proper diagnosis when it only took the psych ward psychiatrist a couple of months (in total) to figure out the main ones. This is vicious incompetence and I'm sad that I've wasted so much of my time being mismanaged this way. Dr Jenkins has a reputation with a good amount of his former and current patients for doing the things I mentioned. Honestly I'm horrified at what effect he's having on innocent people and I'm glad he's retiring. Apologies to anyone that read my previous review and thought he was a good psychiatrist - he's not.

Dr Jenkins in a brilliant psychiatrist. He's always been compassionate and showed the upmost empathy. He listens to what I have to say and always takes the time to ask me what I think about his diagnosis.
Emily is kind and friendly and extremely professional with the work that she does.

Hundreds upon hundreds of calls to this office go unanswered. Guess Emily doesn't know how to work a phone or return a call?
Pretty poor service considering the situations of crisis that many find themselves in, especially in Bundaberg.
For the sake of your patients, do better.
