After experiencing a traumatic birth with my first child in the public system, I knew I needed a very different experience the second time around—one where I felt truly supported. From the beginning of my pregnancy through to the birth, Dr.Shammas was nothing short of incredible. She took the time to truly listen, made me feel heard and respected, and advocated for me every step of the way. Most importantly, she created an environment where I felt safe—something that meant the world to me after my previous experience. Thanks to her care and support, I was able to have the positive, empowering birth I had hoped for. I will be forever grateful to have had such a beautiful and healing experience with her by my side.

A very late review, Dr. Shammas delivered our baby a year ago and she did everything she could to give us an amazing experience. I have the BEST birth story and it is a moment that our family will forever cherish. She is incredibly capeable in her profession, but she is also kind and caring as a specialist. Being under Dr Shammas’s care for my first pregnancy was the best decision we made for our baby girl. I mainly saw her at her Gledswood Hills Clinic. Her confident demeanor and years of experience shows in her careful yet assured practical approach. I felt that my wishes for a natural birth were always respected. I was never rushed and always given my medical options and time to think about it. The labour itself was nothing short of amazing. I called the receptionist this morning, she is so cooperative and honest to tell me , Merina expires after 8 years , not only 5, plus she advises with calm voice to do cervical test with my GP ( it's rarely to find such good customer service) I feel calm and safe , even prices are affordable, Thank you 🌹♥️♥️

From the second we met Dr Shammas up until the bittersweet thank you hug at the last follow up appointment, it felt like being cared for by a long lost Auntie. We were shown nothing but kindness, empathy, understanding, a whole new level of beautiful motherly warmth and someone who has so much confidence and knowledge in everything obstetrics and gynaecology related.

We got in house ultrasounds to see little Bub at every appointment, had lots of questions that were always answered so well and after birth in hospital was visited by Dr Shammas pretty much every day to check on my progress. She has a smile like no other, the best sense of humour and is the greatest advocate and support person for her patients- most especially anxious first time mums like me!

She gave me every opportunity to trial the birth I first wanted, but when my induction wasn’t progressing well, it meant everything when she stopped, held my hand and promised she’d look after everything. I’ve honestly never felt safer with any other doctor than I have with Dr Shammas.

Ladies, no need to research the best OBGYNs in Sydney. Booking in with Dr Shammas is 1000% hands down the best decision you’ll ever make.

There aren’t enough words to say THANK YOU to Dr Nasreen Shammas and her team. From the first antenatal appointment to the very last Dr Shammas was nothing short of exceptional, she wasn’t just my obstetrician she was like a mother figure throughout my entire pregnancy. She answered all my questions, gave me amazing motherly advice and always took the time to make sure I was okay throughout my monthly appointments with her up until the birth of our baby girl. When I heard Dr Shammas’s voice as she entered the delivery room my nerves instantly disappeared. Dr Shammas’s was nothing short of amazing in the delivery room, she kept me calm and collected throughout the entire birth. Her small jokes and funny humour instantly lit up the room as well as her constant reassurance that everything was okay.
