I was looking for a new local doctor and really hoped Dr Dee de Bruyn would be it. My husband rated her very highly. But while I found Dr Dee de Bruyn to be very knowledgable and provide some great advice she didn't listen to my requests or give any weighting to the fact that as a 50 year old, I do know my body well, what works and doesn't work and definitely more invested in my own well being more than what she is. The 'Highway or My Way' approach doesn't work with everyone and every doctor has a different opinion. Being given the 3rd degree for basic requests and having to wear a mask when the receptionist isn't wearing one and the doctor is wearing one incorrectly, is inconsistent and off putting when you are already feeling vulnerable and looking to establish a relationship of trust. (I had no covid symptoms and wasn't there for anything related to that). I am disappointed because I was hoping for a little mutual respect, which I didn't get and left feeling belittled, disappointed and unheard.
But that was just my experience and I am sure for many others, like my husband they will have a positive experience. What I am thankful for, is that Dr Dee de Bruyn has made me more determined to do own medical research, so I can better articulate my requests and manage my own health. Thank you for that. I do believe that as patients we should own our own health ... after-all we are ultimately responsible.

I've been a patient at Bronte GP for the past 5 years and Dr. Dee and her team consistently provide exceptional care. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear they prioritise genuine attention and compassion. Dr Dee is thorough, knowledgeable, and truly listens. Her thoughtful approach has guided me through any health concerns with clarity and care.

The whole team is diligent, friendly, and don't rush appointments. I would happily see any of the other doctors at Bronte GP if Dr Dee wasn't available.

I highly recommend Bronte GP for anyone seeking a team that combines professionalism with genuine, thoughtful care. I have referred a number of friends to the clinic who share the same sentiment.
