I had surgery in August 2024 and my experience with the Dr D Joseph from they one has been amazing. Operating when well. Hospital stay and care was excellent. Anytime I had a concern he or his team has been able to help me and follow it up.

Reception wanted to wait 4 months and charge me $300 (consult fee) just to tell me whether my condition was part of the clinic scope. Other specialists' reception were able to tell me immediately whether my condition was something the doctor could treat or not. Weird experience

I explained multiple times I didn't want a consult via email. I asked a question I asked 2 other specialists. They immediately via email told me they were not able to help as it wasn't part of their scope.
The receptionist told me she couldn't talk to the doctor to ask this simple question that other specialists did very quickly. So, no, it's not standard practice to charge consult fee to know whether the doctor can or cannot assist. Even my GP was very perplexed by your reply.
The experience with me became difficult after I was accused multiple times to want a consult via email for free when that was NOT the case, and you started almost shouting at me over the phone.

Dr Joseph is a great surgeon and I will highly recommend him. I
had a gastric sleeve surgery with minimal scars which was a huge surprise to me and my partner. My surgery was at Prince of Wales Hospital and the nurses were great. We expected larger scars as per our research. I have had no complications so far either. Other places charge so much and I seen people been to these places with large ugly scars left behind. I had my first follow up today and he was so supportive and provided me with all the information moving forward and addressed my concerns. Bianca and Heather are both helpful, lovely receptionists and never had any issues with them. I'm so thankful and so happy that I chosen Bodyfree for my weightloss journey. These guys truly cares for their patients. I'm six weeks PO and have already lost 13.5kgs. Look no further, you won't regret. Thank you so much Bodyfree team. ?
