My wife came home in tears after being belittled, humiliated, and not listened to by this doctor. She's been diagnosed by multiple specialists for serious chronic illness and was referred to Dr Bennett not due to a personal recommendation, but rather, due to his practice being close to where we live.
During the one and only consultation he:
-- Failed to read anything in her medical background or referral from her specialist GP.
-- Constantly interrupted and/or dismissed anything she said when trying to explain her extensive symptoms and not once let her finish when trying to give him context to her extensive medical history
-- Described her as 'probably just a delicate little thing' and her illness as 'a fashionable excuse' after she finally managed to communicate -- despite his consistent interruptions -- her diagnoses; diagnoses confirmed by multiple doctors/specialists.
-- His overall advice to her was 'just don't do the things that are causing you pain'. These 'things' happen to be sleep and common outdoor activities any reasonable person would deem essential to a healthy life.
One might forgive a busy doctor in a position of influence and power for having a bad day with their communication; however, we would certainly not recommend being subjected to the above patronising, negligent, and belittling behaviour towards a woman with extensive chronic pain and whom has been recognised by other medical professionals to be in need of expert care.

I was referred to an ent specialist at outpatients ipswich hospital, twice, about 5yrs ago with headaches, unbalanced gait & blocked nose which i couldn't breath through. I saw a young intern who stuck a look see camera up my nose & then disappeared to get instructions from the boss specialist "so he said" to what he'd seen up my nose. He returned & asked, "what is the actual problem you're having" so I went through it again with him, again he disappeared to return & say there's nothing inside your nose to indicate a problem with an unbalanced gait, headaches or any blockages, I asked him, how can make that assumption from a 5min look up my nose ? He couldn't answer without the phantom ent's imput or lack of. My second visit I was seen by another intern & after 2mins of whats the problem he also disappeared & came back with an abrupt "there's no more we can do for u" i said to him excuse me! is that it, why do u keep disappearing ? .. I must say I was disappointed at the service & lack of duty of care from the actual ent specialist, i didn't even get his name. I'd like to say to his face what a quack he is. Since not getting the proper care or proper diagnosis to speak of, I now suffer with chronic headaches so bad i have serious spells of hypertension, hospitalised twice, caused by on the brain fluid, blocked inner ear causing severe unbalanced gait, loss of confidence so now I can hardly walk, causing falls resulting in a broken ankle, fractured wrist, head injuries, 2 mini strokes from persistent headache & spiking hypertension, life-threatening 233/ especially when laying down, underwater hearing & sharp inner ear pain, a discharge of puss coming from way back of throat right side ear area, bitter, very smelly. I'm still banging on about this 5yrs later & have no quality of life. I would like to know why...

Dr Daniel Bennett is an exceptional ENT specialist. I have seen him since I was a mere toddler and he has done around 13 surgeries on my ears. The man saved my hearing! And is the most pleasant and professional specialist I have met. Honestly can not recommend him enough!
