I went to see Dr Chang for my debilitating ADHD. Thousands of dollars later, my medication was working - it was such a relief. Now, she has withdrawn the treatment with no explanation. The insomnia, task forgetfulness, uncontrollable distraction (including whilst driving - an expensive and serious safety issue), agitation, shorter temper, they all have returned. I can never trust her again and wish I could get all that money back.

I have made two official complaints to the Office of the Health Ombudsman regarding Dr. Chang’s office in the past 6 months - both were accepted for further investigation by the OHO into her office and practice. The issues I had involved misleading communication where I was clearly informed and assured by Dr. Chang and her office that a diagnostic report would be provided - it was not. The OHO found, while not illegal, it is not good practice for a practitioner to fail to provide a report post diagnosis. After an initial and a follow up appointment totalling $1800 - Dr. Alice Chang did not provide my son, his referring GP nor his school with an ASD and ADHD diagnostic report of findings as part of her service, much to his GP’s and his school’s dismay.

On numerous occasions, I tried to resolve these issues with Dr. Chang’s office directly - these emails were either ignored or quite unprofessionally unresolved. The second complaint was regarding the reprisal and unethical withdrawal of a diagnosis by Dr. Alice Chang after receiving an OHO complaint.

Thankfully these complaints have now been recorded against her. I strongly advise avoiding this practice at all costs.

Alice is a great psychiatrist with attention to detail. I cannot give her five stars due to their high fees of $390.00 for a consultation lasting 30 to 40 minutes.
