The best thing about this place is that there is parking on-site, where most pathology places do not have this. It's very easy to get to, and you don't need to navigate through corridors to locate it. Opening hours at 7:30 am is brilliant, and staff straight away take patients. You're therefore not waiting around for long. This morning, there were a number of people waiting outside just before the pathology place had opened. Within half an hour of opening most people had been attended to.

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at the Douglas Laboratory in Wetherill Park. The blood collector I encountered was incredibly unprofessional and demonstrated a complete lack of respect and understanding. Her accent was so thick that it was nearly impossible to understand what she was saying, making the entire process extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse, she blatantly ignored my name and, in a shocking display of indifference, stated that she "doesn't care what's written on Medicare."

When I refused her service due to her unprofessional behavior, she had the audacity to touch my paper and hand without any permission or legitimate reason. This invasive action was entirely unnecessary and only served to further demonstrate her disregard for basic professionalism and patient respect.

I decided to return after speaking with a Douglas representative over the phone and was finally treated with the professionalism and kindness one would expect from a healthcare facility, thanks to a different staff member in a room further inside (not the one near the entrance, where the terrible service occurred).

Perhaps it’s time to reconsider whether certain individuals are suited to work with the public if they can't maintain even the most basic standards of professionalism and respect. My experience with the first blood collector was not only disappointing but also deeply troubling, and I hope the facility takes steps to ensure that no one else has to go through such an ordeal.

I came in for a blood test and an older lady happened to be the one providing the service for me. As she was doing her administrative work before physically taking my blood test, I decided to open my phone and just scroll while I waited for her. 5 minutes passed so I looked up to see what’s taking so long, only to find this older lady sitting with her hand on her chin - staring at me and then began telling me off for being on my phone? Do your staff not understand that people have things to do? children to check up on? Anxiety disorders? Why not simply stand up or state we’re ready for the test now like every other pathology place? It was really uncomfortable. The test itself was painless but that encounter was extremely off putting. I hope this was just a one off experience.

No, this is serious. My baby is constipated and so his paedtrician ordered stool test. It's been a month now and no results yet. When I chased it up, they said they couldn't get into contact with me or my doctor to see if I was actually going to pay for the results, so they waited and waited. And when I approved and said I will pay when I eventually called them, they go the results will be out the following week. Here comes Friday now, they said the result should be out in the afternoon, and still no results. When I called them again, they said my son's results will be out in the evening. Really?! Is that what you do to people, let alone a suffering infant This place and work needs to be investigated because they don't stick to their word and put people's health at risk. This is a frustrated mother!

Edit* after calling and begging. They told me the results are out and sending them to my doctor. I'm currently at my doctors in this cold weather with my baby and no results?!! They informed us now that the result will be ready next week instead Someone from this company get back to me asap!!!

An old lady did my blood test. I went to put up my sleeve for her and she moved my hand and started muttering under her breath in another language and told me not to touch it and demonstrated very poor customer service and attitude. After I had to lie down because I have a history of fainting she continued to be rough and rude. I’ve been treated much better from the younger staff that work there

I’ve come here to take bloods for awhile now, most of the nurses are pretty professional and know what they’re doing. However, the administration/reception needs improvement. There’s never anyone at the front desk to help and whenever I call to make an appointment or inquiry the phones never get answered. I find this highly unprofessional, I don’t understand why a phone cannot be answered

I absolutely hate this place. Each time I go for a blood test, I see the staff standing around talking and laughing with each other. The phone rings and the ignore it. They ALL have disgusting attitude. The boss/manager needs to hire new people. Such a shame this medical industry.
