5 Stars – A Hidden Gem for Athletes and Locals Alike!

I absolutely love coming from Keppel Island to the Don Ireland Swimming Complex in Emu Park each week for my Ironman 70.3 training. It’s such a great-value facility — always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.

There’s quality equipment available to use, and the pool is perfect for both structured training sessions and relaxed swims. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping everything in top condition. Whether you’re a serious athlete or just looking for a refreshing swim, this place has everything you need.

Highly recommend it to anyone in the area — a fantastic community space that’s become a key part of my weekly routine!

Nicely maintained and presented complex. The pool is heated to the perfect temperature for Winter swimming. Parking is convenient. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Clean well maintained pool and surrounding tables, shade cloths and lawns. Can grab a snack at the shop plus noodles and goggles or other swim needs. Great place for everyone. Swim lessons are also available.

Pool temp wasn't accurate as definitely not the 28C advertised and drop off from the ramp is huge! Could do with some curtains for the shower, give people some privacy.

Stopped here after a couple of days drive from Melbourne, nice place and pool. Staff was friendly.
