I don’t normally place reviews, but I feel it’s important to let people know about positive experiences. Dickson medical and travel is a fantastic family practice. My family have been coming here for many years and currently see Dr Prouzer. We always receive compassionate, understanding and timely care. The administration staff are also very helpful and understanding. Keep up the great work!

Great doctors but in my experience, I have never got in to see the doctor without atleast a 40min wait. Kind of disappointing, especially when you have to try anticipate parking times and costs.
Update 2/3/2023: after waiting over an hour and having to go to the parking meter twice to pay for parking (before seeing the doctor), I think it's not professional to keep your appointments within a reasonable time. I'm looking for a new doctor.

My partner has been suffering from a bad case of COVID for 6-days. Scared when she was losing breathing capacity in the evening, she called HealthDirect at 2am in the morning. HealthDirect advised her she must have a telehealth session with her GP within 12-hours so a doctor can review her and assess if she needs hospital care.

My partner made a telehealth booking at her regular GP, Dickson Medical & Travel Clinic, and when I questioned her whether the appointment would meet the 12-hour timeframe recommended by HealthDirect she said she didn't know. I was like 'What, you don't know?!? Haven't you made a booking with your regular clinic?'. Her response was that she was on a 'List' and she had to wait by the phone all day for a call? This seemed so odd to me, as personally, I've always had formal bookings with set times when dealing with my own medical appointments. So I called Dickson Medical & Travel Clinic to get to the bottom of this, as now I am very worried about my partners deteriorating COVID condition and an inability to follow the HealthDirect advice.

My first 4x phone calls had me hung up on before they answered the phone, and when they did pick up on the 5th call, it was confirmed to me that my partner did indeed NOT have a set booking time, and that the phone session would just occur when they were least busy, and they didn't care to follow the HealthDirect advice because (yes I quote!), "Lots of people have COVID". OMG! Yes, they said that before quickly ending the call.

So yep, if you're ever worried about the health & safety of a loved one, don't expect any care and concern from this clinic. You'd find a better bedside manner & more empathetic understanding from your local tattoo artist! Now that this is off my chest, it's time to get back to making sure my loved one doesn't suffer any more serious consequences from this still potentially fatal virus.

Ridiculously slow service. This may sound harsh but the doctor needed to retire 10 years ago. It was painful watching him find the immunisation in the fridge, open the box, set up the needle and I almost lost it when he took forever to peel some stickers off the syringes. Four injections took one hour.
