Have been going to Dr Hui since 1992. Have no issues with him. But the wait times are getting ridiculous. I have seen patients go in and be in there for 40-60mins. And I have seen one patient been told to rebook as they ran out of time. They only been in for 2mins. Years ago they did have a notice saying consultations were 10-15 long if need more time let the receipt know. And they will charge you if you don’t cancel the appointment within 1 hour of appointment time but yet we could be waiting up to 1 or more hours to see him. I always ring now as I know there will be always be a delay.

Have been to this practice several times for treatment for chronic and acute conditions. Dr Hui and the admin staff are very caring and helpful. My only issue with this practice is that wait times can be long and with only one doctor there can be gaps in access over Christmas or other holiday periods.

I booked an appointment to see Dr Joseph after getting the run around from my previous GP. Every time I have seen Dr Joseph, he has been very thorough and informative. If it wasn't for him, I would have gone another 2 years without knowing that I had Cancer. Dr Joseph referred me to a specialist and stressed the urgency to me due to my persistent and ongoing symptoms (over a 2 year period). Since my official diagnosis of Cancer, Dr Joseph has continued to treat me along with my Oncology and Cancer Care team. He has been absolutely wonderful and listens to all of my concerns and never doubts anything. I'm so glad I found him!

My partner and I are going through our first pregnancy, which should be a happy time. However I recently went in as I was experiencing pain after calling 13HEALTH and having the registered nurse tell me that I should see my GP. Upon seeing the Dr he stated that I shouldn't have come to see him, and need to get a scan performed by the hospital.
Through out my entire visit I did not feel welcome or comfortable to ask any questions. This is not the first time that I have been to see the Dr nor is it the first time I have left feeling like I do not wish to return.

Best doctor ever. I have ben seeing him for 25 years. Even when I lived on the Southside,
I still travel all the way to Deagon to see him. As my experience with other doctors when I try elsewhere are seldom as understanding as Dr. Hui.

There is a long wait time but have never had a problem other than this. Always listens and often finishes my list of symptoms before I do. He's really quite good and thorough and is the best doctor I have seen that bulk bills.

Clown of a practice. Had a tick in my back & rang here to have it removed. Was informed by the receptionist Gale (may not be correct spelling) that without informing the doctor I must go to hospital. Went to hospital & was quietly berated for not going to my local clinic but received apologies after informing them of the receptionist. Didn't know receptionists were qualified to send people away and tie up hospital resources. Will not attend again after several locals have also had problems with this clinic. Wouldn't even go for a medical certificate. Also, have attended Dr Hui myself to consult on a skin condition, was simply given a pill script three times and not once of the THREE TIMES over a period of three months did it come up that a skin sample should be tested. Went elsewhere, skin sample taken first go and was given correct diagnosis with treatment and was cleared up in less than two weeks.

Dr Joseph Hui is happy to deal out prescription medication but will not do any follwup testing to monitor chronic medical conditions. He has a very uncaring manner and talks to you like you are an idiot and have no idea. He talks over you and doesnt listen. He tries to fit as many patients in a day as possible to get more signatures on paper to get more pay and doesnt care about that actual welfare of the patient. That is why the waiting time is usually around an hour later than when your appointment actually is. Formal complaints to the Queensland Medical Ombudsman have been made about this doctor, the most recent one today. I would highly recommend staying away from this doctor mainly due to the medical welfare of any current and future patients of his. He is currently being investigated.
