Darwin private hospital is a well kept and maintained facility from the grounds to the wards - although not as large as you would find in most other states, it is still reasonably modern and well equipped with fantastic service and support staff.
Just note that the public car park requires payment if intending on staying longer than one hour. Free parking is offered for up to an hour - but remember to still obtain a ticket from the car park ticket vending machines which are located through out the car park. Tickets must be displayed on your vehicle dashboard otherwise you may be in for a nasty surprise upon returning to your vehicle.
Upon admission there was a slight delay in the wait time to get processed due to a number of people attempting to get admitted at the same time, with only one person at reception to handle the influx there was a slight delay. Allow yourself ample time to get processed and admitted upon your arrival.
The experience I had in dealing with the medical staff, the doctors the nurses and all - I found professional and well mannered and provide an exceptional level of service.
The rooms and selves look a little dated and tired however the cleanliness and maintenance is off a very high standard.
Being a private hospital you do you have the option of a single or shared room however, each case I guess would be different depending on your level of private health cover and what your preferred option would be. Check the costs and your excess with your health fund to get an accurate figure of what your costs of staying in hospital will be.
In the times that we are in, there is a quick Covid-19 testing station setup in the entrance where by your temperature is taken and a series of questions need to be answered to satisfy the criteria to allow you to enter.

I had a tonsillectomy with Dr. Hemi Patel. He was very lovely and all the staff have been incredibly caring and knowledgeable. They even accommodated my vegan diet with a delicious lentil curry. I've felt very secure and comfortable for my entire visit. It has made a painful procedure much easier to deal with! I'd definitely recommend going with Dr. Patel.

Despite bracing myself for all the horrible drama that I knew would come with DPH as warned by all the honest reviews, I still didn't expect the staff to stoop so low in their conduct.

Pathetic show of attitude and absolutely vile tone towards a patient actively in pain post op. Patient is a falls risk, post concussion and highly concerned, yet the manager and director of this disgusting hospital get to make a MEDICAL decision of refusing one family member's stay for overnight admission (AGAINST SURGEONS, and NURSES ADVICE).

One star is only for the kind theatre staff and nurse that was assigned to us.

Wouldn't want my enemy to stay here. Just because food can be good doesn't mean that the higher staff can act like souless jerks.

I seriously hope the director and night manager or whatever her role is, get the opportunity to experience these exact circumstances when their loved ones are unwell. If they think this is what is deemed as acceptable, then I hope this acceptable conduct happens to them as well.

Following the procedure on my ear in late March I want to express my appreciation for the care I received from Drs. Patel and Kumarasena, as well as their staff and, by extension, the Darwin Private Hospital. Dr. Patel, the treatment I received from you over the past two months has been top notch; and it was always a pleasant experience interacting with Mel and Olga each time I visited your office. Dr. Kumarasena, your care and attention before and during the procedure were much appreciated. And as I indicated in the questionnaire sent to me from the hospital, all aspects of my experience were excellent!

After having my medical records lost and the hospital staff lie to me for over a decade about their responsibilities and my rights.

The general manager sits me down to tell me that this won't happen today, and I can just go away, that this is standard practice for private hospitals in Australia.

I can't believe Annie Whynbourne has been allowed to get away with these crimes and that the hospital has broken the law to protect her and that I have 0 rights.

My experience with this hospital is comparable to a horror movie.
