This review is purely for the reception staff. They are rude, dismissive and would rather talk to each other than assist patients. I was at reception and overheard them laughing while discussing a patient. It really blows my mind that people get paid to do a job but sit around doing nothing and treating patients like we are beneath them. I was warned not to come here as reception staff scanned someone else’s private results on my friends file previously but I gave them the benefit of the doubt anyway. I wish I hadn’t and won’t be coming back. Your reception staff make the Doctor’s and clinic look bad.

Unlike other reviews I have had a highly negative experience. After waiting for my appointment which was running 20-30 minutes late I had to leave and try to inform the front office staff, they were dismissive and rude. I left and said I will call back later to rebooked the appointment. When I called the front office staff were more interested in arguing and telling me how I walked out. No follow-up appointment was made I made a formal complaint and received no response. This is not a professional organisation you are best to ho elsewhere.

From the moment Darlington Medical Center opened, I've been consistently impressed by the level of care and expertise provided. My initial consultations with Dr. Indika were marked by his kindness, professionalism and genuine concern. Recognizing my need for a female physician, I transitioned to Dr. Aliya, a decision I'm immensely grateful for Dr. Aliya's exceptional knowledge, compassionate approach and unwavering dedication to her patients are truly remarkable. She goes above and beyond, making me feel heard and understood. Beyond the doctors, the entire team including the front desk staff, nurses and all medical team are consistently friendly, efficient and demonstrate a genuine commitment to patient well-being. Their seamless teamwork and positive attitude create a welcoming and supportive environment.
Darlington Medical Center is a shining example of excellence in healthcare and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking dedicated and compassionate medical professionals.

I am deeply confused I been charge for cancellations on a appointment that I made from 15mins. I was nice enough and call them back on very short notice to let them know they can give appointment to someone else who might need it more urgently and I was told how nice I was on the phone and such short notice too and glad I found better option too. I just had a look on my list of my history from doctor's places I had visited. All are okay except for this place... Because I found out today I been charged of cancellation of $72.85!!!... I was speechless and in shock? I was the one who booked the appointment and 15mins later call them back to cancelled it and no delayment... I booked this appointment to see if I can speak with the dr to claim a work capacity form and was informed over the phone they might not be able to, so I explained on the phone I will book just in case and I will call back if I find better option and wanted someone else to attend to this appointment if urgent. I was praised for being so nice... I did everything right and explain clearly too. But was I fooled. Plus no good reasons for this... I did the right thing and call back with no delayment and I found another appointment booked which is required to do my job capacity form. Can I please have my refunded for false charge because this wasn't mentioned on the phone once.. Especially when I was trying to be nice.. also If I knew this would had happened I shouldn't had booked at all regarding being charge unfairly for the first time too. I always visit this place and thought this place was safe and wonderful but not sure anymore.. Here a screen shot of proof too. I was and currently still in a vulnerable state at the moment because I have 100 have a back injury strain. I am still on recovery. Please do the right thing and remove the charge and refund it.

Dr Aliya, Tash, Karley and Alyssa are an amazing team. They bend over backwards to make you feel as welcome and safe as possible. Can not recommend Dr Aliya enough. She is very caring and listens especially with autoimmune diseases which to many is invisible and they don't take it seriously. She listens and cares to offer assistance. Not only do I see Dr Aliya but so do both my children.
Tash and Karley on the front desk always welcoming with a huge smile which is the difference when you already feel awful and/ down to see their bubbly personalities makes my day.
Nurse Alyssa is very caring and thorough with her examinations. She has the best laugh and makes the appointments a joy.

I have been seeing Dr Pradeep for many years along with my family. He is very caring, patient and full of sympathy to his clients. He sometimes would even wave our gap fee. This is what a real kind person would do, not only as a Dr. I wish him all the best.

That's so against the law. You can't be requiring an appointment for a patient to be able to access their medical records. It's providing misleading information to patients and money extortion which should be reported to OAIC and MediCare.

EDIT: Your response does not address the concerns I mentioned in the review.

"If you would like to obtain your results (...), an appointment MUST be booked"

This statement is deceptive and such practices may constitute unlawful behavior, potentially leading to Medicare payment abuse. You can't be requiring an appointment with a GP to release medical records. This should be reported to the appropriate authorities.

This review is for Dr Mendis specifically, although we are really happy with the practice as the staff are always friendly and professional. Sometimes, but not often in our experience, appointments do run over, and you have to wait past your appointment time, but that's to be expected when the practice is very busy.

Dr Mendis is an outstanding GP. Our family followed him to Darlington from his previous practice as he is the best GP we've had the pleasure of knowing. Always compassionate, very thorough, professional, and very personable. Would highly recommend.
