Staff are very friendly and very helpful to first time parents.

For birth support partners: I know parking is a concern. As of writing this is how it goes: during labour we were told we can park in any of the available slots in front of the building (even in the day oncology slots) as it’s an emergency. When all is settled (i.e., you’re in the post natal suites) you can move your car to the public parking for visitors (there is a small road beside the Kingston building leading up to its entrance). There is a ramp going down - go down this ramp and turn right (do not park in the short stay parking). Go back to the post natal suites reception and ask for a parking pass. If you’re leaving the building bring this pass to the Kingston building reception (check your pass for reception availability times) and they will print a voucher for you that you can scan when leaving. You will be charged $6 per day. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I found this hospital even though it gets busy obviously during the week but much more quieter and staff seam more friendly and polite compared to the John Hunter Hospital within the same grounds ,

The rehabilitation unit / ward staff are more helpful and pleasant to deal with at all times I have spoken with them .
