Was admitted with smoke inhalation, I had pink veins, serious headaches, white skin.... Was left unattended in the waiting area for 3 hours before a triage nurse took my vitals.... Blood pressure was seriously wrong and she decided the machine was faulty the Dr then came In and diagnosed me with virus.... Said come back if symptoms persist.... Didn't even hesitate to go to a real hospital, Get real diagnosis and received the treatment I required.... Oxygen.... NEVER GO HERE AGAIN

To add to insult, the customer care review team asked me to review my visit. Told them exactly what happened and never heard back from them again.

I do not rate this so called hospital at all. If there was a minus star option that would be my choice.
After trying to get a doctor appointment ( which is near impossible in this town) for my son who has severe asthma, was having extreme difficulty breathing and needing medication, I was advised by the doctors receptionist to take him to the hospital, to which I did. The first doctor we saw was great, very empathetic and was ready to prescribe him medication.. Unfortunately as that doctor left, in come another (telling me that I had no right to bring my son in, and that he was fine and told me im over reacting) mind you my son who has had asthma since he was a toddler, I think as his mother I do have a slight idea when he needs medical attention.. appalling treatment by supposed "highly regarded"medical staff
Ended up taking him 5 hour drive to Sydney, only to be told he needed antibiotics as he had a bad chest infection..
Shame on you NSW HEALTH Coonabarabran! Shame on you!

Fabulous service delivered during our recent call in for concern over our little baby. Everyone; the admin staff, RN and doctor were all very accommodating and helpful. Sally(?) in admin was helping doing all kinds of jobs helping the people in the waiting rooms and fetching walkers and wheelchairs, battling computers and being generally friendly and conversational in her free moments. Coen (triage RN) was great designating care to the variety of presentations and the locum Dr Brandon gave exemplary professional service in thoroughly assessing our bub and recommendations. Thank you

My husband found out he had a urinary infection with a resistant bug. Our local GP rang us and emailed the results. Prompt service by nursing staff, Jennifer and Doctor. We are travelling and on our way after intravenous antibiotics. Many thanks.

unfortunately had reason to visit A&E on Sunday 31/1/16 after son crashed dirt bike. Nursing staff, doctor on call and radiologist were fantastic and very reassuring. Thanks very much for checking him over. We couldn't have asked for more.

After a serious accident I was taken to West Mead Hospital Sydney ... tragic circus although staff did all they could to make us comfortable the management has lost it. The food was not even fit for a dog. So as soon I could I asked to be transferred to my hometown's Coonabarabran Hospital. Had to spent there an other 3 weeks. What can I say : It's not a hospital , it is a fine resort ! The food is better as what one may encounter in many restaurants , with room for special requests. The cleanliness is just unbelievable, the spacious wards are cleaned by staff who love their job! The nurses treat you with respect and are truly professional. Hello West Mead : come and learn and be inspired by the Coonabarabran Hospital - the pride and glory of a small community !!
